I have used 170 gr 30-30 style bullets without problems. The coal may require adjustment depending on shape the bullet may jam rifling and need seated deeper.
I was bored and loaded some 38 spl for a m&p I had. Just used commercial cast and wasn't too bad only fired 18 then tore it down and washed in hot water. No load data just measured where bullet would sit and filled a little more for a compressed load. The smoke was fun!
Cylinder gap and the long bullet jump down the cylinder. Trying that load in a magnum case would still be lower pressure but probably better since the bullet travels shorter distance in cylinder.
I bought the lyman multi ones for most but I have a LE Wilson in 30-30. The Wilson is definitely well made and steel vs my aluminum lyman ones.
For my uses the lyman ones were way cheaper vs a bunch of Wilson steel ones.
I had several hundred rounds of 460s&w that had high primers from the manufacturer. I reseated them all on an old rcbs bench primer. Even had to do some federal ammo. Eyes ears don’t hold on to the round or lean over. Probably way safer than driving to the store.
But ultimately it’s your choice.
Had a mac 11 semi that would hurt you.
There's a reason you always saw them with a piece of rubber hose on the trigger.
Its caused by dumb laws that force a full auto design to operate as a semi auto.
