I took your advice and filed a complaint w/the Florida State Attorney General's Office. Maybe if this company is contacted by SAG it will scare them enough to straighten up their business practice.
And, as I suspected, the rifle that had an “inventory problem” at warehouse C just yesterday is back in stock at 8:00AM the very next day...but at a much higher price.

They did...
I apologize if this isn’t the correct forum for this, but I wanted to share in hopes of helping others avoid the same problem. Mods please move if it fits better in another forum:
I recently ordered a rifle from gunbuyer.com at a VERY good price. I was skeptical because I’d never even heard...
As a follow-up: I contacted Lyman who in turn contacted Buds. Turns out Buds uses drop-shippers and this one came from a 3rd party who was not named.
Lyman offered to either issue a full refund or send me a new Great Plains Hunter with extras. After cooling off a bit I decided to accept...
I’m not implying that Buds is, in any way, responsible. It is very concerning, however, that rifles under recall for a potentially deadly defect are still in retailer inventories (evidently, they don’t even know this). It’s very unlikely that I got the only one to fall through the cracks...
I was lucky I guess. The next guy might not be...apparently there are a lot of rifles affected by the recall. What really alarms me though is that this rifle (confirmed to be under recall) was sold to me by a retailer, several months after the recall was started.
I didn’t find out until yesterday, the day my Lyman Trade rifle broke into two pieces, that there is an active recall so I thought I’d share.
Brand new rifle purchased from Buds Gun Shop just last week. On my 2nd outing, 4th shot...the breech plug completely separated from the barrel. It...
Tried Superformace today. To give a baseline, this rifle shoots Rem Cor Lokt into ~1.25" 3-shot groups at 100 yds, which I consider very good for hunting ammo...and Hornady Black 140gr BTHP into a hair over 1" groups.
Best group with Superformace was 42gr (my starting load) at 0.631"...every...
Not looking for specific loads, just gathering a consensus (if there is one) on what powders and bullet weights generally give good accuracy.
I could not resist the T/C Compass sale and picked up a 6.5. It has 1/8 twist so heavier bullets should not be a problem. Will probably start with...
My experience with 300MP in 357 and 44mag was smaller groups right up to the published max loads. I also got about +80fps over max H110 loads in the same revolvers. Big boom and flash...slightly more recoil.
When I experimented with it in "Ruger Only" 45 Colt loads (where, at the time...
I have a mid length Freedom that's got about 1200 rounds thru it with no issues. It is about a 1.6 MOA rifle in my hands with cheap Wolf gold ammo. Has been 100%. I have about $450 in the whole build and I think it was worth that and then some.
I disagree. I believe that those who trust our government not to overstep its authority when led by a President who wishes to do so, are...well, not only naive but blind to history....in other words, those who don't understand how our government works tend to be less fearful of it, and more...
Fear is a perfectly normal human reaction. The question is if the fear is irrational. When we have a politician openly making statements such as those being heard now, IMO, the fear of further infringement is very reasonable
If I am not mistaken, he certainly tried, and did all he could do...
I read the OP as advising to be prepared so we don't repeat the panic buying cycle. If folks have a good supply there (hopefully) will be less of a rush in the Fall.
I happen to agree that now is the time to take inventory and adjust as you see fit. The only thing I find more annoying than...
