The problem is, around here at least, there isn't much in the way of non +P SD loads. The standard pressure stuff is all wadcutter or jacketed hardball. All of the HPs I've seen except for Federal's anemic 110gr Hydroshok are +P. Chris

I do that all the time. Works fine in my flatlatch 36 and 37-2. It will accelerate wear, but you'll spend more on +P ammo to get to that point that you paid for the gun. Chris

Magtech is good for cheap plinking ammo. Georgia Arms loads a decent round that's $19 and mild enough for plinking (chrono'd at 1100fps from my 5.5" Redhawk). Otherwise, all I shoot in 44mag are my own handloads. 300g@1300fps. W00T! Chris
