To me, the Charter Arms set-up seems more complicated than moonclips. Looks like lots of places where debris could jam it up. Moonclips are much simpler.

Never understood why it is such a problem to deal with moonclips. People buy a Maglula loading device to load 15-18 rounds of 9mm in a magazine. Just buy the loading devise to load the moonclips and it is pretty much the same thing as loading a magazine. Yes, you have to unload the moonclips...

^^^^^^^ Me too. I just widened the rear sight notch on my ATI 1911 Commander. It made a very noticeable difference.

Stay with .357 revolvers and load your own ammo, shoot 38spl +P for EDC.

I only use LPP to load .45acp. A friend hooked me up with .45acp SPP brass. Now I can load .45acp with either size primer.

My vote would go to a Mod28 4in with stock grips and a Tyler T adapter. The low luster finish and absence of the 3 Ts make it look like a workhorse.

1 --- Mod 29-3 mountain gun - very good/ excellent condition - $895. 2 --- Mod 24-6 .44spl - 3in blue, said to be unfired - $949.
