Has anyone ever tried these cases?
http://www.caseclub.com/gun-cases.htm
I am thinking about buying the 7 pistol case and the 6 revolver case and was wondering whether anyone here has experience with them.
Are they as durable and water/dustproof as Pelican cases?
Thank you. That is curious. Typically I get a good cheek-weld with a bead on a shotgun. If the fiber optic sight is 1 1/8" above barrel, that means it is easily an inch higher than where the bead would have been. How could people get a good cheek-weld with that much higher of a sight?
Maybe someone should do a study of this, but there seem to be some arbitrage opportunities in the gun industry as information appears to be far from perfect. Of course, you can't make serious money, but I am surprised time and time again by people buying guns at highly inflated prices. I guess...
You ain't kiddin. I saw a CZ-75 Compact L (basically a P0-1 with a manual safety) at a gun show recently. It was priced at $1100. I know the CZ Custom sells a customized version of that for $850 or so, so I thought, hmmm, who'd buy that?
I came back about 20 min. later and it was gone! Sold.
Really? I thought the JM Pro models of 930 had chromed chamber/bore? Are you sure? I know the FN SLP does... Hmmm...
BTW, when you are looking through the tall LPA sights, where is your cheek in relation to the stock?
I have to say, that's one thing I like about FN SLP -- its magazine tube has an outer sleeve that protects it from dings that can render other shotguns inoperative. SLP is looking better and better.
I am now thinking of getting an FN SLP Tactical. For some reason, though, I cannot find one easily -- everyone seems to carry the Mk I version with 22" barrel, but not the 18" version. I guess everyone's using them for 3-gun competitions.
I actually thought it was quite light and handy-feeling. I just couldn't get over how tall those LPA sights were. Even with my chin just barely touching the stock, I was not getting a good sight picture.
Destructo6, what other problems did you have? Does the JM Pro model have chromed chamber...
Inspired by a couple of cool, fun YouTube videos I saw on the 930 SPX, I took an interest and looked for it at a recent gun show. It was a big letdown.
First of all, I found three and all three had loose forend. One of them actually rattled quite badly. What gives?
Second, the LPA sights...
Finally, after two trips back to the factory, the safety is what it should be. Very positive, decent breaking weight, good, firm clicky engagement and disengagement... And I can no longer put it in the middle between on and off.
SIG should have made it like this from the beginning!
It's back at SIG again... Will see if SIG takes my concerns seriously. In the mean time, I heard through another forum that a few other people are having the same problem. There is even a SIG armorer who has two P226 SAO's in his shop, both with 2 lbs deactivation weight on the safety, as...
I should add that I am able to put a little pressure on the safety and get it to be stuck in the "middle" position (because it's all mushy between on/off and has no definite detent point) at which point I am able to press the trigger!
I'm calling SIG... again.
In the mean time, I did buy...
