Apparently the 22tcm 9r ammo should work in my gun, so I ordered a couple of boxes of that.

I whetted a small section on the right side of the large chunk so you can get a idea of the color.
I started cutting it up today , and it turns out that only about 1/2 inch of the outer section is white. Probably thick enough in places for 1911...
