For plinking I went with the Blackhawk convertible .38/.357 + 9mm cylinder. Mine came with wood grips. People complain online about the accuracy of the 9mm, my experience differed at normal pistol ranges and it shot well.
I prefer the sights on the Blackhawk, but the Vaquero is more classic...
Checked in on the site just to see if anything had changed and saw this.
I don't know the result of the hearing, but that is the final step before distribution of funds. Assuming of course the settlement was approved.
I guess it's a personal preference but unless this was a collectors piece I was just going to display and look at I personally wouldn't worry about it. But as mentioned before, contact Marlin, they may just send you a "matching" set to make you happy.
There is no fighting the progression of retail sales from brick and mortar to online. I mean you have Amazon delivering within 1-2hrs on a lot of things, then 2 days for other stuff. The wait time is rapidly reducing for pretty much all major online retailers. At the very least there are four...
I posted this earlier and it seems to have got missed. You had mentioned looking at them at your local gun shop but they sounded overpriced. This with the 4 mags extra promotion is tough to beat IMO.

I shoot way more .38spl then I do .357mag out of my Blackhawk, but for me I want the option to shoot .357mag if I want to. Doesn't hurt that .38 ammo is cheaper (retail wise).
Weird, looks like it in the follow up video it may have been a polymer mix issue and a bad batch got out. They might need to get a better handle on QC.
Yeah, this is a prime example of why I do all my shopping for guns online. I am not sure of the exact models you looked at but....

Wait, so you're caving on Springfield? That makes it easy, with their price and the four extra mag extra deal I change my vote for sure. My original XD45 runs like a top.
I am searching for drop tests but I can't seem to find any. I mean I know the odds are crazy for something to happen, but I wouldn't mind seeing it tested.
Oh it says not to load until you're ready to fire and unload after just like all of them, but it went out of its way to talk about carrying since it's of course a deep concealment concealed carry gun. Honestly, I am not too worried about mine, though I don't feel great about that warning.
Do you own stock in Leupold or something? It's rare to see this level of conviction to a brand. Every brand has different tiers of products.
Anyway, if I were looking for scopes I'd read through reviews of actual users...
To someone's quote earlier, I wish 1/3 of all sales at all gun shows were private sales, might get better deals. As is the ones I go to are 99% vendor tables, with maybe a few old timers peddling their surplus rifles from their personal collections.
