When one figures the expense involved in game systems and the constant stream of new games for them as well as the cost of the newest iPhone or electronic gadget, the general, basic costs of hunting are not the issue.
My EDC
As many have stated in this thread, it is an unforgiving pistol and one needs to work with it and become familiar with how to shoot it accurately. But then it is intended for short range self defense, it was never meant to be a tack driver.
"Further, anyone who would soak real elephant ivory grips in die, coffee, or tea to artificially age them should be shot with the gun they are attached too!!!"
Sigged!
I am finally going deer hunting this year after 6 years of occasional quail/dove hunting.
I really hope this signals the end of my hunting/fishing/camping dry spell, I've really missed it.
Don't know if I've posted to this thread but an S&W 442 has been my edc for years now.
I usually stoke it with the old FBI load but there is a mix of Hydra-shok and Gold Dots in there as well. I carry it most often in a Lobo Leather IWB but when I'm really dressing down I stick it in my pocket...
I have a 7.5" SBH and it is one of my favorite pistols. It is fun to shoot and is very accurate. It is a heavy gun which does a good job of taming the effects of recoil.
You will find that the SBH is a very different animal than what you are used to, but once you get the hang of it you will...
I have always been a wheelgunner and though have a couple of autoloaders my EDC has always been a revolver. The S&W 442 is my #1 because it is the one I carry most but I love my 2.5" M19 the most.
