I find it frustrating when I lay down a great group like that but then can't duplicate it. Then I'm left to wonder: was it a fluke? Is it me? Is it the rifle? The scope? The load?
I've never had anything to do with Riton.
I have a theoretical AR10 build in my head and I'm thinking a scope like this is what I'd like to put on it. At 422.00 on sale the price looks right and I really like that reticle. I'd like it even more if it was illuminated...
My scope came last Saturday. My rings were delivered yesterday. I'll get it mounted up tomorrow and likely shoot it on Saturday. The plan is to have this scope float around for ammo evaluation. We'll see.
I knew it was off. Called flyer. I was into my squeeze and I thought about the last round I sent and the trigger broke, and the crosshair was not in the center of the target as it had been for the previous shots.
Yep. Must be a law.
I think if I can repeat that group, and it maintains its vertical shape. I may keep increasing the charge till it gets round, falls apart, or, I hit pressure signs. But if it will keep shooting like that.......I'm happy.
I'll watch this with interest. I've wanted to work up a 308 level load for my 300wm for awhile but never got round to it.
My hunting load is 70 couple grains of 4831sc under a 180gr nosler etip. It's accurate, and decisive on elk.
