Had a couple of Single Sixes and a Bisley in .32 Federal Magnum. they were decent enough but I got tired of trying to track down any ammo for them (keep in mind this was before the Internet) so I traded them in on something else that caught my eye.
I don't know but for $400 (I would see if they could come off the price a little bit), I would take a chance on that Taurus. I like the idea of pairing it up with my Ruger Blackhawk Flattop, also a .44 Special.

If it's really from the1980s, and you decide to get it, look it over very carefully. Colt had a lot of labor problems back then and a lot of stuff went out the door that could have been made better and finished a whole lot nicer too.

It's funny about those Pachmayr grips for the Hi-Power in that I used the full set, including me not cutting out the front grip strap (something I always did with my 1911s as I felt they made the grip feel it was too wide) and using the separate back strap piece as well.

As soon as I got home and before I even took the gun out of the box, I went to the nearest gun store and bought me a set of Pachmayrs for it!
The old Pachmayr grips still feel great in my hand. I got the Hogue grips for Christmas one year. Very nice, especially when I want to play Dress-Up with my Hi-Power.
Not a P09 mainly because I felt the longer grip frame was just a little bit too long and awkward for my smaller size hand. Found the P07 much more to my liking. I did change out the decocker for the frame mounted manual safety. Works fine and I like how solid and substantial the gun is.
