Thanks @JmacD I almost bought a 657 71/2” barrel, I’m so glad I bought this one. I was so close to passing on it. Then @bigpower491 reminded me that I probably wouldn’t have a chance to get another, the only other thing I wasn’t sure of is if I wanted to shoot it or not…well we know what the...
You guys have it easy… my wife wants and buys as many guns as I do. God bless that woman, she at least understands the whole reloading/gun room. We were at the gun show a month ago and a guy had some 9mm Dillon dies. I said to her that’s a good deal 100 bucks. She said don’t you have dies? I...
I have the same gun…sorta CZ 75 sp-01 shadow target 2 with 20 rounds of 124 grain gold dots. It’s on the dresser but I’m sure I will grab the gun I carry everyday. Sig p226 357 sig with 125 grain gold dots. But I’m just as comfortable with either one.
Tried 7.5 then 7.7 and 8 Seems to like 8.2 grains of unique….215 swc
Need to run that load again.
ES 44
SD 11
All at 12 shots…
did pretty good with 19.5 of enforcer with a 210 xtp on the magnum end too. More testing to come….
So I finally got out back and blasted up some ladder loads for the pinto. I used some unique with some 215 grain swc.
Also loaded 296 and enforcer with 210 xtp’s 1st time shooting this year…definitely rusty. 25 yards unsupported. Did ring some 8” gongs at 50 yards. Happy to knock some of the...
Loaded up 198 rounds of 41 mag, coated 215 grain and 210 grain xtp’s ladder loads of unique for the lead, 296 and trying some enforcer with the xtp’s. For those with ocd I used the 2 left over cases for dummy rounds so all are accounted for. But what about the left over primers??? Oh no… :oops...
What else are good enablers oops I mean friends good for?….Lol thanks for giving me the push AJ. Oh by the way I’m sending you over the information on the Freedom Arms model 83 silhouette in .41 at the gun shop by work, he has a really good price on it.
@Mark_Mark and @Pat Riot, They do make both a .41 special and a .41 super mag ( known as the 414 super mag) the 41 special is more common than the super. Most guys just down load regular 41 mag cases for softer shooting rounds.
Poor @Mark_Mark missed out on this one…I basically bought it from one of his neighbors  ok so it was actually 40 or so miles away from him. It was 2350 miles from me, however. Lol
So I bought a Pinto, not the one that would catch fire if it was hit in the back, made by Ford. Nor is it a horse named Scout, like Tonto rode. This one is a S&W Model 57 8 3/8 barrel no dash pinned and recessed from late 72-73. I couldn’t decide on a blued or nickel .41 mag so I picked up...
Just got back from the reloading shop. Finally picked up all the goodies to load my latest caliber .41 magnum, really looking for some swc to load up some target loads. Thanks to @Mark_Mark I was able to pick up a set of Dillon dies and a conversion kit for early 2000 pricing. ;)
