    Date of Manufacture

Looks like I was mistaken. They changed over in 2019. I would have sworn it was 2015. I guess that's what I get for relying on memory.

    Date of Manufacture

I had a Uberti dragoon made in 2013 with the letters on the frame as usual but they put the date under the trigger guard. I'm not sure what they did in 2014 but I'm pretty sure it was all numerical in 2015. I'm not sure when Pietta started doing it but it was around the same time period.

    Date of Manufacture

Yes 2021. They fully changed from letters to actual dates in 2015 IIRC.

    Pietta Shooter's Model stripped threads

Yeah but going through the mouth of a chamber and getting it started would be a PITA let alone getting it started straight.

    Beaded knife sheath

Nah I'm done with knife making.

    Sounds like a PITA.

    Beaded knife sheath

Yeah the sheath really needs a better knife. That's the first knife I ever made and the first time I hafted one with antler and I really didn't know what I was doing with either one but it works well for it's purpose. I have gotten better with hafting. 😁

How is he going to be able to angle a screw from the mouth of the chamber?

    Pietta Shooter's Model stripped threads

Not only that but if you overtighten grips they can split.

    Pietta Shooter's Model stripped threads

It might. It's worth a try. If it will tighten down tight it will be good to go but just snugging it up with weak threads is a no go.

    Beaded knife sheath

Thanks. I tried to post it on the Colt forum but it wouldn't accept pics.

    Beaded knife sheath

I've been looking for accessories to go with my flintlock and came across this beaded neck knife sheath at a reasonable price. It beats the hell out of the homemade sheath I've been using. The knife is the first one I ever made and didn't really know what I was doing but it's a great patch...

I've seen it work on other applications.

    Good starting load.

Way more than needed for what? I use the same charge for targets that I use for hunting and I was never happy with a 90 grain charge. Anything less would have been unacceptable. If it had grouped well with 100 - 110 grains I would have used that. I killed a lot of deer with my .50 but I don't...

    Good starting load.

I hunted with a .50 Cal for 30 years with a 90 grain charge and all too often I got no exit wound and I was left tracking deer with little to no blood trail. Once I moved up to a .54 with a 90 grain charge all that ended. and I never looked back I diss the N-SSA because they don't use original...

I don't see where you said that at all.

    Good starting load.

I don't like wimpy loads either and I abhor punching paper. I don't like shooting off of a bench either. I'll shoot off a bench at paper when I sight a rifle in but once I get a load worked up for it it rarely sees paper again.

    Who dislikes/hates the Beretta 92FS/M9?

I don't like the slide mounted safety. I don't like the decocker or DA/SA. I like the Taurus 92 FS a lot better. It still has a decocker and is DA/SA but at least the safety is frame mounted and I don't have to use the DA.
