Would more than likely just copy grand dad, 1899 Savage 30-30 cut down to a 16" barrel for riding on the floor, 1911 38Auto for duty with a Colt pocket revolver in 38colt, Shotgun would be the two he carried double barrel 8ga, for reach:), and a cut down 12ga double for social work .
Wouldn't be my first choice but with the right load it would work, I think it was SIG's GM at the time the round came out had an article about taking a puma with it.
Got to shoot one of the test samples years ago, our head FI had one sent in for our eval based on I believe Miami-Dade approving them for off duty, I was impressed with the system. The last P=35 I carried had the system in it and had well over 10k qual rounds thru it when I let it go,
Having had the opportunity to shoot with the gentlemen that where issued those , I can say you have a great 357, really like the rear sight top strap replacement, but that front sight sure is high, whats it sighted in for, load wise
I very seldom, carry more than one now a days, if you would have caught up to me while I wore the badge and blue, you would have found at minimum three on me. If I feel the need now its still a battle pistol for main, and either my THP in a neck holster, or one of the mini wonder nines in a neck...

Easiest way I found when wearing them was to sew a heavy strip about 2-3 inches wide inside the bib along the same stitch lines , its opening was wide enough to carry an inside the pant holster with straps, so the weapon rode against the bib, the strap against the skin, carried a 3 1/2 27 back...
Thanks for the reply, the brother in law and I have been looking at other loadings for the same reasons, he has picked some of the older 160 grain soft points, looking to build a subsonic load, ther're 3 of us who do DMAP damage removals, mostly deer on small property
Glad to see some one out with the Grendel , first of your videos I've seen why did you settle on the 90 grain? I have stuck with the 130's, for hunting stuff, and the Barnul 100 grain fmj for pleasure
Have been shooting two now that have fast become my all time best rifles, a SIG in 22 and the older H97 fixed barrel, one loves the heavy for caliber and the other dosen't, both will make me cuss when I get sloppy on hold and trigger . Gentleman that taught me air guns always said master theses...
