Dangit! I hate it when people see right through me!!
It IS getting close to the shopping season... maybe I should get something I really wanted and make myself a promise to hand it off should the wolves come knocking.
Yea, that's the issue with emergency preparedness stuff. Prepare for a tornado and the power goes out or something else. This is an "all around" question. I totally get that it depends, I'm just trying to figure out what would be "good enough" for 'option a', 'option b', 'option c'.... because...
Thanks Deus. I am definitely trying to keep this gun related and specific to the original question, thanks for that. As for the other topics covered, thanks but I was just asking for opinions on those two platforms. Emergency plans are as unique as the families that make them (learned that from...
My brother knows how t shoot (I've gone with him to the range) my wife's stepfather grew up hunting, They just don't think enough about a disaster to get themselves some protection.. My wife and I have plans for OUR family and she's tried to include her mom/stepdad but some people think the...
...tell people you love "well, you didn't learn how to use this gun when I told you to so tough **** on you." - it's one of those situations where you *have* to help whether you like it or not.
And for WROL, I have no idea how likely or unlikely it is, oh how I wish I had a crystal ball! But I...
OK, this is not one of those "which is better" posts, I just wanted to check the temperature of the room to see what someone else thought about this.
So, my wife works for the CDC and just before that with the Red Cross, one of the Sr. people in the emergency disaster group. I've gotten free...
How does a hunting mentor work? I grew up in a City so I never even started shooting until my 30's. When I escaped the Bloomberg regime I took some carbine classes and got a rifle. I've been wanting to learn to hunt for some years now. I currently live in Georgia and I'm curious. Does a hunting...
As the title says, I'm trying to get some info on the sights for the 930XS.
Not the 930 spx (model 85370) but the 930 XS (model: 85374)
It seems all of the 930SPX's have been sold out (that's my local gun shop has been telling me) but I came across the 930XS and have not heard much about how...
A double barrel shotgun. All I'd need to do is fire off "two blasts" into the woods and anything within 100 miles would turn tail and run. :neener:
Seriously. I've been enjoying the windham weaponry 16FST-308. Can take down nearly anything on four (or two) legs. That or the mossberg 500 spx.
That's kind of what I was thinking. The Hardened Arms version (I think) allows the User to clean the suppressor somehow. Haven't looked into it much. I am thinking however of getting an AR pistol and seeing if I like it enough to convert it into some sort of sbr down the line...
Thanks for...
I can see that. However, with a suppressor and an SBR that's two tax stamps. It was actually more of an idea if anything... the idea of having a suppressed rifle without it being 22+ inches long for CQB.
I wasn't even thinking about this until I saw a guy at the range with a suppressed 300...
OK, so I've been looking at a few rigs like this one: https://www.hardenedarms.com/ecProduct_325_43
and started thinking about the possibility of getting an AR-pistol and having a gunsmith pin a suppressor to it to make it 16"+ (after paying the tax stamp for the suppressor of course)
If I...
Last one.

I just find the fact that a reporter is actually reporting the FACTS and not their opinion about firearms is a breath of fresh air.
I've been sharing these with my wife's stepfather who likes to...
I'm starting to like this guy:

I posted a Reality Check video regarding the Second Amendment in November. I have one more to share after this. I'm starting to like this guy. Other media outlets need to take...
At work, in yet another long... boring meeting and this video actually put a smile on my face.
you may have already seen it but it's beautiful nonetheless. It should be in the dictionary under "truth":
Saw this on the news tonight. A segment called "Reality Check" - thought it was interesting and wanted to share:

Sweet. I kicked myself when I missed this del-ton deal from centerfire systems: http://us11.campaign-archive1.com/?u=55e21c48ccb6afc5016507b72&id=cc1f7b7e64
Which is exactly why I want to be on the ball come black friday. :)
Thank you for the tips!
+1
My list is too long for this one black friday but I'm hoping to catch at least a couple of them. Including the Ruger American 308, the Mossberg 930spx 8-shot, Glock 19/21 etc.etc. etc. (and of course more ammo)
