For me the purpose of shooting and reloading is for fun. The more fun I have the more proficient I become which becomes more fun and around and around we go
Have some more fun and get the 44 spl. Then you would have another platform to have fun
I think you will have to call Veral and see about his book! His site mentioned that mold making was out but he was going to try and have some other item up for sale book. lube, hardness tester and such! When I do not know. Have to talk to the man himself.
+1 on the Lyman cast book!
Another great book is by Veral Smith
JACKETED PERFORMANCE WITH CAST BULLETS
He had a fire in his shop so you will have to call to order the book and his lead hardness tester is the one I like! Do not know when he will get up to putting out the book or tester and the...
My first load after building an AR was 55 gr Sierra Blitz Kings! Max load from Sierra manual of 4895. Five shot a 100 yds could be covered with a dime. Looked no further. Since I try to have a lot of same powder for various loads, all my 223's are with 4895!
Wish I could shoot like that still...
Another Audie Murphy story was, He was working in the back of a movie studio and a director or big name movie star asked why Audie walked so funny. They were told that he would walk funny also if he had half his ass shot off!
Don't know if it is true or not but I like the story.
I also do it myself! A couple of bubble levels one for the rifle and one for the scope. For me the trick is to keep everything level while slowly tightening the scope rings. Moving side to side on the scope rings as to not rotate the scope!
I read or heard a story about Hugh O'Brian ( I think it was ) sitting around giving Audie Murphy some flack ! Audie told him to put some real bullets in the hand guns and " Lets go out back and settle things " . Hugh got real quiet! Audie was the real thing. he had been to hell and back...
90% or more shooting in my 44 Redhawk is with a my 300 grgc in front of 5.5 gr of WST. About 775 fps and I found that WST burns cleaner than Bullseye! Shoot all day long and no medical problems
I do not have a 357 with a barrel that short! In powders I am old school and still love 2400 for all my mag loads in hand guns. In a barrel that short, sun glasses would not be out of line with 2400
I am not to stressed if they take PayPal the regular method, no money to friends or donation stuff. The stress goes up a little with credit card protection.
I would see if they take PayPal if not move on .
Good luck
