I understand your point. And I agree. I don't know why you guys don't have an initiative for constitutional carry. My point is that this would be a huge improvement over what you have right now. At least for most people. And it is probably more realistic than getting constitutional carry...
Well I didn't read through the entire thread, but I think I got the gist of it. Personally, I think it is pretty shameful of the guys over there opposing it.
They're all skeptical because Piazza is probably just trying to make money. Ha! Well Duh! That would be a gold mine for him if he...
I like the shotgun idea. Lots of versatility there.
If you're wanting rifle range, the SKS would be awesome. I got mine when they were $100 and even though they have become a lot more expensive than that, I don't know that they are expensive for what they are - a reliable and accurate semi...
Dang! That was amazing. My favorite was at 4:40 or so shooting a .338 at a rock 1693 yards (67 yds short of a mile.) They dialed in 74.4 feet of drop. That's like artillery practice!
As far as ethics goes... it is hard to say. I know it wouldn't be ethical for me to take those shots with my...
Well Utah has some claim on John M. Browning, so we have quite a selection to choose from. For something old and classic I'd go with a Winchester lever rifle. Of course the 1911 would be a good candidate. But I think I'm going to put my vote in for the M2.
As for New Hampshire... I don't...
Wow, that yearly totals graph shows an impressive and steady increase from 2005 to 2009, and is as good of an explanation as I've heard or seen for the increase in ammunition costs. More and more people are getting into shooting.
Looking at the yearly totals, there's a little bump for 2001...
Ask him which of his guns would make the best sniper rifle.
haha jk
I'm with Fremmer. Take the opportunity to learn from him if he is willing. Try to get him to go shooting with you and his daughter. Have fun. Be honest and respectful and I expect he won't have a problem with you or your...
Front Sight is the only professional training I've had, but I was very pleased with it. I did the M-16 class and the 4 day handgun.
The handgun class is great for people that haven't had formal training. You learn how to be confident in your ability to safely handle a handgun. You learn...
I've done this one a couple times. I've never been a big fan of duck, but this one is actually pretty good:
Duck with Apple Dressing
6 duck breasts filleted
1 cup water
1/4 cup butter
1 cup apple juice
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
Place duck breast in skillet. Add water and butter. Cover and simmer...
I haven't seen this posted yet. Here's a link to the youtube videos he posted of the news coverage:

Snap caps are also good for running malfunction drills, i.e. lock the slide back, put one in the chamber, insert mag with snap caps and hit the release. That is a fun one to practice clearing and you can do it at home with snap caps (instead of at the range with ammo.) It also helps get the...
I've never shot a pistol in 7.62x39 or 5.56 caliber, but my guess is they are pretty awkward to shoot effectively. Does anybody here have experience with them, and would you prefer them to a more standard handgun if you found yourself in a gunfight? Seems like follow up shots would be slow and...
Sounds like a really good way to get people that didn't know it was legal to want to make it illegal. I could maybe understand if there had been like 15 murders in that park this year and for some reason he just had to be there, but otherwise it seems kinda ridiculous.
That's a pretty good list. I found myself thinking, "yep, I do that." Especially the bracing the gun with the arm while running across the street or something.
Kudos to the NYPD detective that put that together.
Next we need to find a senator that shoots 3-gun to invite him out to a match... Or maybe just a tactical rifle training course.
Sounds like his eyes were opened a little anyway. I loved the “I always thought hunting dogs were just for companionship" quote. I'm glad he had a good experience...
Congratulations on a nice blog, KB. Looks like you've put a lot of work into it in only a week. Hopefully it won't start to feel like a burden :) I think you're a good writer and I appreciate your posts on this forum, so I'm interested in following your new blog.
