I was depriming GFL 44 magnum brass and all the primer holes are off-center. I had been aligning them with my index finger while raising the ram.
Not even sure exactly how I did it, but I'm guessing I used the wrong finger, and had this one above the case.
Ram goes up, case goes in finger...
I don't know if I have load data for the 12.0gr loads. I'll have to look in my notes when I get home.
I do know with almost every load I've made and shot in a 6in GP100 and the 2.5inch GP100, the 2.5inch is roughly 100-150fps slower than the 6inch gun according to our chronograph. That was...
I also load 12.0gr of AA#9 with 158gr lead bullets. Have gone up to 13.5gr with #9 and 158gr bullets, but 95% are loaded to 12.0grs. It's a nice accurate load.
These are shot out of my wife's GP100
Well I wasn't paying attention when depriming 44 magnum brass tonight. GFL brass and their crooked primer holes. I went to tilt the case while going up in the depriming die. 😬
On a positive note, I probably won't be doing that again anytime soon. 😂
My Ruger Officer in 9mm and my Ruger commander in 9mm have both been dead reliable.
My wife's Springfield Armory EMP was very problematic at the start. It had lots of failures to extract. Gun was sent back to S.A. and they tuned the extractor, polished the chamber and feed ramp also. Gun now...
I got my dad's 6 inch GP100 a few years back. This gun has seen a lot of use. The forcing cone is showing some serious cracks. Is it time to have it sent off and fixed? Gun is super accurate but I'm worried it may let loose and possibly injure someone.
Thoughts? Also any idea on cost of a new...
Well I took out the 6inch GP100 and the new Blackhawk. Fired about 50 357's for my warmup haha.
Seems if I havent shot my 44s in a while, it's "Holy sh@!" followed by a big grin. This one was no different. I put 150 magnum loads and about 30 44 specials thru it. This is definitely going to be...
Great collection. So the question is, how does it shoot? The only other 44 magnum I own is a Ruger Alaskan. According to specs online, they weigh the same. I'm guessing this will be a little easier to shoot though.
I'm a huge fan of the Midway range bags. I have multiple ones in different colors.
(Usually they have 1 color on sale at any given time, so that's what color I get lol). Mag packs, lots of pockets, padding, and nice stitching. Worth a look if your looking for a larger bag.
I have no idea why I bought this, but man it sure is cool. :rofl:I already have a Ruger Vaquero in 357 magnum, but I didn't have any single actions in 44 magnum. I guess I better get cranking on the Dillon and get some ammo made up.
A little late reply but I bought a Winchester "safe" from Tractor Supply Company around Black Friday. Nice "safe" but always seems to open super easy yet closing was kind of stiff.
I watched the lugs coming out of the door and noticed the bottom 2 were dragging while coming out of the door...
Not sure if you live near one, but Scheels seems to randomly have different Dillon dies in stock whenever I visit. A month back they had 9mm and 45acp in stock. This past weekend was 40/10mm and 223 carbide dies in stock.
