Does anyone remember during the 70s/80s - Toys R Us carrying a real wood bolt action rifle that had a wooden "bullet" that looked like it really chambered when you closed the bolt?
Thanks for the responses.
I have always liked Gerber quality...and if they are now owned by Fiskars that should help me convince my wife that I need a new knife and she can have new sewing shears.
Since Gerber is no longer the German company, (sold to China?) Is the quality of the knives the same as it used to be?
I would like to replace a stolen MK II, is there an equivalent knife out there?
Apparently the producers of 'cattlecar' (a very old MAD magazine satire of battle star) never saw the movie SPEED with Keanu ... long/short what do you do when the bad guy has a hostage at gun point--- you shoot the hostage to take them out of the equation, you need to see the movie to...

When I was in high school in Idaho, back in the 80s, we would use 120 gr. hollow points loaded in our deer rifles and hunt prairie dogs. Needless to say there wasn't much left to eat...but they sure decorated the sage brush nicely!
AT check out e-gunparts.com they have books and manuals with breakout pictures showing all the different parts of different guns. AND they are fairly cheap.
I may be wrong BUT...
a "sniper" in the military term does much more then just shoot, they may sit for days observing the target, they will make notes (such as how many bad guys there are, patrols if any, number of windows, doors, entrances and exits etc.) and send info back to be disseminated...
Quoheleth,
First go check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AK-47, print it out if you want to thumb through at your leisure. It will give you history from the beginning on up plus all the variants, countries that manufacture, countries that use, etc.
Also check out...
