"Hollow out" a section of para cord about 2" shorter than your bead chain. Run the chain through the para cord and you have the comfort of para cord with a "break away" built in. Works for me. YMMV

The last time I was in Canada the border guard lady asked me if I had any firearms in my vehicle. I told her "yes", she asked, "handguns?", I said "no, shotgun" she asked if it was a sawed of shotgun, I told her no. She then said, "Welcome to Canada, enjoy your stay!". Of course that was in 1977...
More or less on topic I think. With finger prints they have to have so many points of comparison to have a match, anybody know if there's a similar protocol for bullets?

I learned to shoot with a Remington 510 (vintage 1945 just like me!) that my grandfather gave me when I was a kid. I still shoot it in my club's sporter rifle matches.

I use a Photon II & a Streamlight Scorpion. The Photon for close-in tasks & the Scorpion when I want to "light up the night". I'm going to get one of the lithium cell Twin Task lights eventually. Non-lithium cell lights around my house are merely storage containers for dead batteries.

IIRC the style (100 years ago or so) was pants tucked into the boots. Then a boot knife made some sense. I can envision falling on my butt trying to crouch down, lifting my pants cuff & pulling a boot knife.
