In trouble with the law when you shoot someone with it? Or in trouble with the wife when she finds out you have a new revolver?
Either way, probably a good call!
Dan Wesson revolvers are overpriced crap!
I wouldn't own this one if I wasn't forced to:
I hope I am never forced to own a similar DW 715 set!
I am glad nobody makes top quality barrels and shrouds using the original DW tooling! you know, like CZ...
I have a set of these and they do fine for smaller handgun cartridges (9mm, .380, etc.). I usually prefer my Peltor electronic muffs so I know what is going on around me when not firing. I wouldn't use those for magnum handguns or rifles.
Like me my father was a woodworker. I think of him every time I use one of his tools.
As far as best powder for this or that cartridge, there really isn't any "best" powder. Many powders will work equally well for a particular cartridge.
Use the powder you have. I personally would not buy...
I think that the number of enthusiasts that own multiple hand guns has greatly increased in the past few decades... with the Internet being a primary reason for this increase.
As enthusiasts grow their collection they naturally want to also experience the intricacies of a revolver... hence a...
I will always buy a stainless steel handguns over any other finish. Melonite / Nitride type finishes are very rust resistant but they do eventually wear if you carry them everyday. Stainless steal will show wear too but it can be refreshed quite easily with a scotch-bright pad which is why it...
44 magnum revolvers are either big and heavy or incredibly punishing to shoot. I love my 44 mag but damned if I want to lug i around all day.
I have been trying to talk myself into buying a Springfield XDm 10mm compact for years... I just can't justify the need or the hassle of yet another...
They are your guns and it is your oil, you can do anything you want. Motor oil has detergents in it and ATF has a LOT of detergents in it. Not something I would want to put on my guns. Chain and bar oil has tackifiers in it to make is stick, watering it down with motor oil or ATF isn't going...
35 years ago I loaded up my first batch of 9mm. 115gr Winchester FMJ at the starting book load. I was having so much fun I loaded ~600-700 rounds. NOTHING would cycle them... NOTHING! Until I bought My Ruger PC carbine about 5 years ago. It finally unloaded all those anemic rounds with only...
35 years ago when I bought my first handgun I had a choice between a new Bersa 380 and a used Government 380. I LOVED the feel of the Government 380 but couldn't talk myself into carrying cocked and locked so I bought the Bersa. About 10 years ago I bought a Browning 1911-380 and finally...
35 years ago I bought my Berretta 92 INOX. A week later a buddy (in an attempt to out do me) bought a S&W 1006. 35 years later I still have my Beretta 92 INOX... and I am still jealous of his S&W 1006! I really loved shooting his 1006! I assume the 4506 is very similar to the 1006, just in...
If it works for you its not my place to tell you not to!
For me, not a chance! I carried my Beretta 92 INOX camping in a Safari (cop) retention holster once. I quickly came to the conclusion that the donut shop cops must be in much better shape than I am. All that weight was just clumsy...
Back in the good old days photographers had big heavy cameras that needed big heavy tripods to keep them steady. Now days everyone uses light little digital cameras and pay a fortune for the lightest weight sturdy carbon fiber tripods they can find leaving a glut of heavier professional tripods...
I also have the XDs (mod 1) and the Kahr CM45. The grip texture on the XDs mod 1 is very harsh. I think this was the big fix for the XDs mod 2. A grip sleeve helps some. I prefer the CM45 but I am a fan of the grip safety on the XDs. I have never held or shot the S&W Shield in 45.
The XD...
I like my Ruger PC carbine but it is kind of big and clunky for what it does. I haven't shot mine since I got a Ruger PC Charger with a binary trigger and a tax stamp.
