I've never read a Sawyer book. Had breakfast with him once, nice enough guy in person. Don't know a thing about his politics. Didn't ask.
An author isn't their characters. Well written characters are going to have their own opinions on every subject. It is only galling when the author has...
Here's my take. As a novelist, I'm used to having my political views dismissed because I'm a conservative, even when it is a subject that I am an actual subject matter expert on. So I find it is hilarious that when it is a left wing novelist, then their opinion is extra important because they're...
I tweeted the following yesterday:
Differences between me and Stephen King. I know what the 2nd Amendment means. I know soldiers can read. And I can write an actual ending.
Yep. I'm the handsome, manly, broad shouldered, silken voiced, goatee model in the video. :)

75,000 readers since it was posted yesterday, and holy crap, I've spent my entire day answering gun control questions and debating all over the freaking internet...
I wrote this not to fight with the willfully ignorant, or for the people already on my side, but to try to convince the undecided. It is long, but it is getting good traction.

Sheesh... Still with this? Wow. I sure am glad you are able to define what is "way more THR" than the moderators that run the place.
As for the Zombie Survival Guide, maybe if Max Brooks had been a THR member then maybe all of his gun advice wouldn't be complete crap. Heck, on that note then...
My half is pretty much done. Mike's is close to done, then we just need to edit the two together. It is called Swords of Exodus.
Well, gee whiz FatCat. If you're gonna jump in and pseudo moderate a thread you should probably do it when it new rather than a month old. :p I am glad to see that...
And now for something completely different, I'm making the MHI Employee Handbook and Game.
We've raised over $20,000 and it hasn't even been up for 24 hours.

This thing is going to be...
For the autographed copies, I signed 3000 pages to be bound in several months ago. Those all presold, so they had me sign another 3000 about 2 months ago. I don't know if those are gone too, or if they took longer to distribute or what. I'm not really sure what is going on at Amazon right now.
Thanks. :D
I'm in Philly this morning, then on to New Jersey. I've met a bunch of folks from THR, TFL, and WTA on this trip. I met Brian's son last night.
And somebody asked about SHOT. Yes. It takes place during SHOT. In fact, "free samples" come into play. :)
I'm on tour now, so internet access has been sporadic. I woke up this morning and I'm fairly sure I'm somewhere outside of NYC. :p
Thanks for the support guys. It is going really well. Things have been hopping on my end.
I've been to Arizona 3 times since I first got published. I obviously love Arizona. :p
I'll be back in the South next year. 2011's tour was western states, 2012 is eastern. 2013 looks like Texas and across the south. I'm doing LibertyCon in Chatanooga and I might be doing WorldCon in San...
The NYT bestselling, gun filled, monster shooting, action/horror/fantasy, novel series that originated on TFL and here on THR is back. #4, Monster Hunter Legion, is out today.
For those of you not familiar with this, I originally wrote Monster Hunter International because of a Lawdog thread...
