I'm a big fan of Squadron-Signal books. Unfortunately, they don't even know what they've got in print and in stock, and there's no place less than an hour's drive that has them. The only one I'm sure of is the Air Force Museum book store in Dayton.
I got my 2,000 lumen Olight a couple of days ago. I had to do some filing on the mount to get it on the Picatinny rail molded into the handguard.
At this point, I think it's ready to go. I might try the extension with the OEM spring, cap and follower, but I'm in no hurry. It's more than good...
I can, but it's going to be VERY specialized situations.
During the 1919 Chicago race riot, my great uncles broke into their National Guard armory and along with rifles took machine guns to defend their neighborhood. My grandmother didn't know what kind, but my guess would be BARs.
The NFA is no more of a "good" thing than the Fugitive Slave Act.
Violation of rights is violation of rights, no matter the far fetched justifications conjured up to excuse them.
Went to the range and fired twenty five rounds of Estate 00 with no malfunctions at all. Since I was already 99% sure the issue was the extension, I didn't bother to shoot the other twenty five rounds. Rail still solid as a rock.
As soon as I get the DSLR off of its macro rig and clear a...
I've never been in combat.
I was XO of a basic training company in the '80s.
When the trainees were shooting full auto at staked balloons at night, the safest place to be was among the balloons.
As long as you've got something like an M249 or Ameli, full-auto rifle fire is pretty much a waste...
It's about as "intangible" as a 10'x10'x10' block of basalt.
They are almost ALWAYS found together where there is an opportunity for mayhem. Antifa's actions speak eloquently to their goals... when they don't simply enunciate them... which they do, FREQUENTLY.
It's apparent to me that that...
Baldwin is an egomaniacal, self-righteous thug, and now a killer.
He deserves everything he gets and more. I hope that if he doesn't end up in prison, he at least is crushed into a fine powder in civil court.
The ones rioting do.
50 is a percentage. So is 90.
Suppose for argument's sake that BLM are just dupes of the anarchists and Maoists of Antifa. That's doesn't exactly reflect favorably on them.
The Revolutionary Communist Party, which is an affiliate of Antifa has been trying to recruit...
You have a lot of financial and security advice for people without contributing anything to their expenses or safety.
I'm sure lots of businessmen would be happy to accept financial assistance from you to get "better insurance".
I'm pretty sure that Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey didn't own too...
And others wouldn't find out they were in police custody...HOW?
So then "ten years without the right to correspond"?
What happens when people start noticing that these people never turn up again?
So, if you have insurance, you have to let somebody steal from and destroy your business or home?
What if the insurance doesn't cover all or even a majority of your losses?
If you have death and dismemberment insurance, do you have to let somebody attack you with a chainsaw rather than...
You didn't answer my question.
Once the National Guard gets them, WHERE do they go? FEMA camp? GULAG? A big hole in the ground at Katyn?
They go into POLICE custody. If rioters get mad because other rioters get arrested by police, why would they NOT get angry merely because you interpose...
What exactly leads you to believe that Antifa and BLM look ANY more favorably upon being arrested by the National Guard than by the police?
And once the National Guard gets hold of them, WHERE will they go? Guantanamo? Manzanar? They'll go into... POLICE custody.
Hand waving doesn't solve...
While cleaning the gun just now I noticed something interesting.
As noted by a number of people, myself included, these types of guns have a reputation for having VERY stiff bolt releases.
At least on THIS model, the bolt release requires an inward and BACKWARDS pressure on the bolt release...
