ar mags
I recently purchased standard AR 20/30 round mags for my PLR from Brownells
that cured my PLR feeding problems. At $18/mag plus a C&R discount makes them about $13/each. They support gun rights, I support them and so far they haven't raised prices. Georgia Arms also has not raised ammo...
Taurus 44
I have the M44C 2 1/2" Tracker in stainless and love it. CCW daily in a Kramer IWB. Trigger pull and lock up is fantastic and a great shooter. Normally carry Georgia Arms Gold Dot in .44 Special or SilverTips in 44 mag. Beware of losing your front sight pipe as the heat and blast...
I purchased a Kramer IWB for my M44c 2 1/2" Tracker in 44 mag for CCW. Just gave then the measurments and waited 4 weeks. Little expensive, but well worth the wait as far as I am concerned.
tracker
I just purchased the Hogue mongrip and am having a problem lining up the screw hole. I wish someone would make wood grips for the Tracker series.
MIDWAY
I just about did the same thing with the backorder /ok on some .44 mag Silvertips at $23/box. Went over to Natchez and saved $4.00 a box and were in stock. I shop around at Natchez, Midway and Cheaperthandirt before I buy. Price isn't everything, but I try to save when I can.
Nagant
You can shoot 32 H&R mag ammunition in this revolver and it does so very well. Bought one from Interordnance about a year ago and they even state so on the web site. Fun gun, sort of gives you an idea of how poorly some soldiers had it. Easy to clean and I believe the Surplus Rifle...
Taurus
I bought a M44 back in 1995 still have it today. Taurus 85 I purchased in 2001 and was very reliable and easy to shoot. New carry gun is a M44C Tracker 2 1/2" .44 mag which is hoot to shoot. Mainly carry 44 Specials and trust it completely for CCW.
wheelie
I carry a revolver because I can shoot it better than autos, always have. It usually takes a bit more planning for CCW due to the cylinder, but I believe in carrying what I shoot better with.
.44 MAG SNUB
Taurus Model M44C 2" Tracker. .44 mag - 2 1/2" ported barrel in stainless, weighs 31 ounces. Lock up and trigger are excellent. Bought it at the last guns show, dealer had about ten blued and ten stainless for $350. Has a Hi-Viz type front sight that I am afraid I'll melt of with...
big bore
I have the same Taurus listed by ssteven1. Found it at the gun show last week. Dealer had about ten each of blued and stainless, going for $350. Bought one and it is wonderful with .44 Specials and a handful in .44 mag.
Lockup and trigger pull are the best I have ever seen on any of...
Taurus
March Shooting Times has an article on the Titanium .357 Tracker wih a 5,000 round test.2,500 rounds of 125 grain Federal +P .38 and 2,500 rounds of .357- 140 grain Federal HP. The Tracker was not cleaned during the test and only oiled periodically. Problems that occurred were sideplate...
pawn shops
When I lived in Colorado Springs, I used to hit the pawn shops when the military guys would blow through their paychecks and need money. There were always alot of guns to choose from since many didn't bother to pick them up after getting the cash. Prices weren't to bad if you...
Range
The lanes at the range I go to have divider partitions between lanes that protrude out about six inches between each lane. It amazes me that there are so many bullet holes in every single one of them. How do people do that?
My daughter is moving up to this city and being a shooting family, was wondering about gun shops/ranges in the area and if possible general information about the area. Thanks ahead of time
gunsmith
You might try Coles in Clearwater. He is getting kind of old and cranky but does great work. You might run into a waiting period though as I would assume that he is very busy. There are alot of good gunsmiths around the area, hit the yellow pages and call around. You also get a...
dates
Call the Smith factory and ask customer service. They can give a real close year date of manufacture. They have helped me several times and were pretty much right on with the dates that were stated in the letters received on each gun. Enjoy the Smith forum as they have alot of...
