I think using a to heavyweight bullet in the 06 would more likely cause you to have to track a whitetail or possibly loose the animal. The 150 gr. Softpoint is just about optimal in IMO for east woods whitetails.

Bought for 50 bucks last year. Iver Johnson model 50 Sidewinder .22 cal. The original wood grip was broken, so I replaced with a tenite grip. It's a tack driver.

I like the 6x45 idea and even the 25x45 idea. I don't think it's going to become a 300 yard deer hammer though. But I think it would make dandy chambering for the AR. And would be a terrific 200 yard whitetail load. More so than the .300 blkout, which I just can't feel the vibe for. But I guess...

1911 my first choice, but have owned a CZ97 B, it was a super shooter, just very big and bulky. It can't warm up to Glocks ergonomics. FN would be the third pick.
