Tactical Response fighting pistol course I thought was well worth it. I made the trip to Camden TN from KC and made time to see President Jackson's Hermitage estate while there.
Forgot to turn powder back on the auto drum when I stopped to clear a stuck case. When I started back up somewhere in my pile of 50 .223 there was about 3 or 4 rounds without enough powder. Found them by weighing each one.
I hate price negotiating at retail counters. I'm ok paying a fair price as marked and don't mind the store making a reasonable profit on a sale. Some of you think you always have to get the upper hand on a sale and get one over on them. All of you depend on profits in the line of work you do, it...
I like the performance of the AA2230 and it's clone xterminator. It's convenient that they are the same my local source will usually have at least one of them in stock.
I find it rather difficult to keep up with all the new powders, and they don't seem to do much more than something that's already out there in use. But I'm sure I will get some anyway.
Put the Sierra gameking any where on the shoulder or just behind, as long as you connect with vitals its going down fast. It will break and smash any deer or moose bone along the way.
Sierras are one of the most accurate bullets you can find. Don't get caught up in the marketing tactics of some of the other company's designs. Whenever people claim to have had problems and blame the bullet, they are just being dishonest with themselves and not owning the bad shot.
For right under the tree stand I've taken 3 with a 9mm. 1 with a .45 ACP at 20 yards double lung. I was impressed with the XTP bullet, large hole all the way through. The only one with a .44 mag was a bad shot, it was a slow death. Shot placement!
CLP was good enough for our machine guns, m-16 rifles. I use a solvent to deep clean occasionally. We always cleaned 3 days in a row after shooting. Each day the CLP would sweat out more carbon. Motor oil attracts dirt and cakes in the actions.
It was only $25, consider that. I tweaked the three I own and they work perfect. If I loose .05 cents worth of powder while loading, it is a "almost perfect powder". Good enough for me.
