Hello, W.E.G., and thanks for that information. I wonder if they're out of stock since going to the internal firing pin or if they are hanging onto these rivets for their own repair work or liability concerns? Man, that surprised me! Thanks again.
Best.
Hello. I feel sure that S&W will have the firing pin (aka "hammer nose" in S&W-speak) and necessary rivets to attach it to your hammer. If one is available, you might check around your neck of the woods for a gunsmith who might have these parts and be able to quickly make the repair for you...
Hello. Though my favorite 9mm pistol remains the Hi Power or P35, I've had no complaints on the performance of CZ75 pistols.
At the present time, own 3 or 4 Pre-B's and one stainless CZ75B. Most of the Pre-B's have been refinished and some other tiny modifications made.
This is my...
Hello. I just completed another shooting session with the FNX9 for those who might be interested:

Best.
Hello. I am only guessing, but the notch for the holdopen lever's "foot" is relatively "large" compared to some autoloaders manufactured before it. While this may aid reliability in function, with the slide forward, were this notch not covered by this semicircular area of the slide...
Hello. The sort of semicircular forward end of the slide release lever covers the cutout in the slide in which the rear end of the slide release/holdopen engages it to hold it rearward after the last shot is fired.
Here is the Hi Power with its slide forward with the slide release/holdopen...
Hello. I recently tried out two different FNX9 9mm pistols. FNX is the successor to Fabrique National's FNP-handgun series. This polymer-framed, double-action semiautomatic sports frame-mounted, ambidextrous thumb safety levers, which double as decockers, and the pistol does permit Condition...
Hello, sir, and congratulations on your pistol. I hope that it serves you well for many years to come. For many of us, the Hi Power just has that certain special "something" that makes it a favorite. I've been regularly using the things for four decades now and still enjoy shooting them...
Hello. Speaking only for myself, I do not own and use handguns solely for self-defense. I enjoy shooting them because despite the concentration required, I find it relaxing. Having done this for over forty years, much has been with various autoloaders, but quite a lot has been with the...
Hello. I shot a few rounds of each from a 4" Model 64, but not many. I cannot find my notes, but if memory serves both were just under 1000 ft/sec or in that neighborhood.
Best.
Hello and thank you very much. I truly believe that the good old Model 10 can be a really fun shooter at the range, but can be called upon to handle "serious business" if required.
It seems that these days I'm shooting a more varied "diet" of handgun types, but when I get a chance to just...
Hello. Definitely count me in as a stauch supporter of the Model 10.
A square butt snub I bought in near-new condition a few years ago. It is wearing Eagle Secret Service stocks. The hammer spur had been bobbed when I bought this revolver, but if it had not been, I'd probably have done...
Hello. I recently purchased a NIB SIG-Sauer P220 .45 ACP pistol. This one sports an accessory rail (something I could live without), and has the milled slide rather than the folded version with a pinned-in breech block. It also has the external extractor.
This P220 appears to be the...
