NONE. So far.
Sorry for the title, but I had to make a splash entrance.
I just picked this gun up a week ago. I have a thing for carbon steel blue handguns. I like 4" N frames and I like commander sized 1911 style guns that are blue carbon steel with 70 series triggers. (I'm sure I will be...
Happy Friday to you all,
A year ago, or so I purchased a Taylor's 1873 Drifter 45 Colt revolver. My shooting buddy has an 1875 Outlaw 45 Colt which prompted me to get a single action also. I have two Smith and Wesson revolvers that shoot 45acp and a Les Baer 45 auto and thus wanted to get a...
So I had a Ruger Vaquero 44 magnum that I was trying to sell and didn't have any luck so I bit the bullet which I really didn't care too much about the gun anyway and I took it to the local gun store and traded it in on something that I thought I would like better like a double action revolver...
I have about four or five different reloading manuals and I know some guys use them as reference only but I tend to read them from cover to cover and what I've discovered is there are a lot of hidden bits of information in other places of the load manual that you wouldn't get if you only use it...
So I don't own a gun for either of those two calibers. I do shoot a lot of 200 grain LSWC in my 45 auto. I've been reloading since the late '90s. I have never seen or heard of a lead semi-wad cutter for either of these two rounds. You see them for 38 special, 357 Magnum, 44 magnum, 45 Colt, 45...
I started out with a Lee single stag press in 1997, got a Redding T7 around 2002, a Lee Loadmaster around 2014.
When the 6000 came out I wanted to wait to see some reviews and finally decided to get one. I think Lee nailed it. The Loadmaster has its quirks but the 6000 is awesome. I am only...
Good morning,
Hopefully you guys can help me make a fast decision.
There is a local private sale of a Colt Gold Cup Match available. Serial number is GCM17xxx and it is stainless steel. It shows wear, has target sight with green fiber optic front sight. Duck Bill grip safety. $750 is the...
A buddy of mine has a grand power 9mm. Cool rotating barrel. Nice fit and finish. Thinking of getting the 45 auto as a range toy. Anyone have any direct experience they'd like to share.
Hey folks,
Usually I'm in the handgun and reloading sections but my 12 year old son took a liking to trap shooting as did I last summer. He's a big 12 year old so I'd consider any gun suitable for an adult ok for him. I don't want to buy a family heirloom but want a good quality gun for both...
On another post I mentioned that I bought a 25-2 45acp revolver. I shot about 100 rounds today. Very accurate. Wow. Clearly my favorite shooting revolver.
I had purchased moon clips, both polymer and steel. The polymer ones work great. Easy to load and unload, HOWEVER, my semi wad cutter...
I've had my Les Baer Commanche for some time. I love carbon steel blue guns. I started out on my dads model 19 when I was 12. I still have it. I'm not a fan of these modern coatings on top of stainless steel. Since I also have my loadmaster cranking out 45acp ammo with 200g lswc bullets for...
Hey folks,
I am potentially looking for one of these models for local gun matches. I want one of these because they are prelock and utilize moon clips. I shoot a fair amount through my 1911 and want to stay with a 45 acp revolver.
Does anyone have experience with either of these? I have...
Ok, I've read the manual I know Trail Boss works with a lot of cartridges and I have load data.
My question is what are your opinions as far as suitability for 200g LSWC and 1911s. I'm am rapidly running out of 231 and cant find any at this time but have a bottle of Trail Boss and am...
Hey folks, my buddies 625 JM misfires a lot. Tonight we were looking things over and I thought that the single action felt weird. I cocked the hammer and was able to push on the hammer and make it (dry) fire. No ammo in the gun of course.
He bought it used. Is this a normally worn part...
Well we finally had time today to shoot a few rounds through the Sig Sauer 1911XO that we converted yo a 460 Rowland. 200g XTP JHP over some Longshot chronod between 1440 and 1480. Perfect functioning except a few mags wouldn't lock back after the last round. A lot of fun
Hey folks,
I recently sold one of my 1911s to a friend who wanted to put together a 460 Rowland. He ordered the conversion kit and some brass. It is all ready to go. I'll post pics if I can. As soon as we shoot it I'll post the results. Should be a hoot.
Hey folks. Picked up a new Colt New Agent Lightweight today. Kind of always wanted a 3" 1911. I'll be breaking it in the weekend after Memorial Day weekend and will report back.
Great fit and finish. Seems very well made. Guide rid looks a little wimpy, so we I'll see.
Hey folks,
Shot my second classifier yesterday. I shot my 4" 586 and made marksman for the SSR division. Out of 30 of us, only two were shooting revolvers. Last year I made marksman in the CDP division with my Sig 1911. I've been shooting for 30 years, but not competition. I am pleased...
Time for a new hand prime tool. After thousands of primers, finally broke my second lee hand prime.
At the prince of Lee, I'm tempted to buy another one, but it want to make sure I've checked out everything.
Anyone tried the apparently new Lyman e-zee prime hand tool? Can my Lee hand...
