Pfft. No such thing as "temporary PTSD." If symptoms last for <30 days, it's not PTSD, but acute stress disorder. Special snowflake, indeed.

Woops. That's a myth. The statute states the sign must be displayed conspicuously. There is no statutory requirement that every entrance be posted.

I wonder what the record for reviving an old thread is. This caliber war started in 2003.
FYI: I have a S&W M&P .40 that I converted to .357 SIG with a drop-in barrel. Love the flexibility.
Bought my first M&P .40 full size not long ago. I love that gun! The ergonomics are fantastic, and it's quite accurate. Nothing but praise for the gun from me.
Forgot to mention: I can drop in a .357 Sig barrel without any mods needed. Can even use the same .40 cal mags!
Got my PP Defender model last month in Texas at Academy for $159. My first 12-gauge, and I love it! I put about 100 rounds through it to get a feel for ir. Now it's close at hand, loaded with 00 buck in case I need it.
I second the Pardner pump 12 gauge. Academy Sports in my area just had a sale on them...$159.00. It's essentially a Chinese made version of the Remington 870. Shoots great!
Hard to find a place to shoot in San Antonio? Then you ain't lookin' very hard.
- The Bullet Hole
- Bracken Range
- Bexar Community Range
- A Place to Shoot
You can shoot what you want at these places.
Those are all outdoor, inexpensive places to shoot. Lots of opportunities.
Yes, San...
That's interesting. I was at my local gun shop last week and they had a dozen or so. I even put a brand new Lightweight Colt Commander on layaway.
No problems here finding new Colt 1911s. But I have noticed that online stores can't keep them stocked--the demand is so high, they sell out quickly.
I have been really pleased with the CenterPoint 4x16-40 scope I bought from Wally World. Includes red and green reticle for different light conditions. The image is clear and the price is crazy low. If a $300 scope isn't within your budget, I recommend this one...
I like my Mossberg ATR100 in .30-06, and at $299 (including a scope), I enjoy sending lead down range with it nearly every weekend. It's also available in other calibers.
I remember an incident from years ago that has left an impression on me.
Back then, I had a job in a county hospital, so we got our fair share of gunshot wound victims coming into the emergency room. I was an EKG tech back in the day before those machines could think for themselves. Anyway...
Recently bitten by the 1911 bug, too. My choice: Colt Lightweight Commander (model O4860XSE). I'm looking forward to receiving it, shooting it, and concealed-carrying it!
