Use your Glock as-is. Your springs won't wear out from keeping them loaded, it holds more rounds than any revolver, is proven reliable, you can add a light or laser to it, and as a .45 it's not lacking anything in power. My opinion of course(except that most this is factual).
Your background check will generally take a bit longer to come back, about an hour or two, because of poor communication between the organization that has proof you have a CCW permit and the organization performing the background check.
Another person here agreeing with this. It was obvious that he didn't think you were a threat and should have treated it as such. Not a bad experience but some of it was unnecessary, IMO.
I recommend that all persons asking legal/law advise enter their location to the area under their avatar/screen name. There are so many questions and statements here which are specific to the state they reside. (end rant).
1911 tuner is probably right on the money. Ensure that the hammer spring legs sit ontop of the trigger pin. There is a groove on one side of the trigger pin that the hammer spring leg sits in. Also, I believe the groove side of the trigger pin should be on the left side.
Agreed
JMB is the man and I feel he should be in school text books as a great inventor. I understand why he isn't but atleast we respect him sufficiently.
I stand corrected that the bill has not been signed by the Gov yet. He is pro 2A and it is looking good, but we are still awaiting his decision. I appreciate the correction.
More info: As long as the bill is not vetoed by the Gov, it goes into effect on July 1st. Doesn't matter if he...
This is only allowed if you have a CC permit. Otherwise entirely not allowed on school grounds or school property(like buses)
This law goes into effect on July 1, this year.
I don't how of the 'Blue Ridge Parkway' thing. If it's because it's part of a National Forest, then a law recently passed allowing the states' laws take precendence. ie: open carry is allowed.
If you are only visiting for a couple weeks, just open carry while you are here. No permit required and generally accepted by the communities. If you only have IWB holsters you can open carry them by 'virginia tucking'. Tuck your shirt in behind your holster/firearm to expose it. Popular...
Sand the stock. Get rid of all the mold/flash lines and give the surface something good to grip onto. I started with 240ish and finished with 400grit. I used Krylon's Fusion paint. I am very happy with the results. Time will tell if it will last.
I have the .30-06 package and I shoot 1" 5-shot groups from a cheap bipod. Next trip will be with some bag rests for hopefully improved results. I have 180 rounds through mine.
Beretta 92/Taurus PT92. Metallic frame for that 'sturdy' feel. DA/SA trigger. Proven design. 9mm. I've gotta try one of those CZ's, I've heard wonderful things about them, too.
