    Rounded magazine bottom for Glock?

JTQ, I started with a SmartCarry crotch holster and now have a Remora. I'm thinking I should get a Crossbreed since I love the one I have for my revolver, which is my daily carry weapon. I'm thinking that even a quality holster isn't gone to pull that brick in tight enough for my liking...

    Rounded magazine bottom for Glock?

That is a very good point that I overlooked. I do think there would be a sweet spot between sharp edge and being so smooth that it couldn't be gripped easily.

    Rounded magazine bottom for Glock?

I've gotten spoiled by the rounded wood boot grips I've got on my SP101. It carries and conceals so well that my Glock sees almost no holster time anymore, because every time I put it on, I notice how much it prints with all the square edges. Does anyone make a mag extension or something that...

How does a custom holster maker fit all models?

From a quick search, it looks like they are about $40 each. That's a big investment if you were to buy 50-100+. Thanks for the replies.

How does a custom holster maker fit all models?

How does a custom holster maker, specifically custom molded kydex, fit all models?? Certainly, these guys don't buy every gun that comes out so they can make a mold. Thanks

What is actually required for black bear?

Hey oldfool, though it may sound like I only want one gun, that isn't the case. My Glock 29 is and will be my "bear gun" and whatever revolver I decide on will be my ccw. But, I think it's worth it to get a .357/.38 rather than just a .38. It's not that I only want one gun, but until I have...

What is actually required for black bear?

Yeah, we usually have bear spray in the group. I don't usually carry it myself, but we don't get to far from one another. That way one can spray pepper and if that that doesn't work the other can spray lead! Don't want a handgun to be my first, or only, line of defense, but if I'm going to...

What is actually required for black bear?

Ok. Thanks Kodiak. Justin, Ruger just came out with the LCR in .357

What is actually required for black bear?

Thanks KodiakBeer, that's good info. It seems, though, given the distance between nose and the pivot point of the head/neck, that the bear would have to be looking straight at you to shoot the brain through to nose mouth. In videos I've watched though, it looks like the bears hang their heads a...

What is actually required for black bear?

Prosser, that is a fine looking weapon. I've got a thing for wood grips...however that could be the problem. Have you tried shooting the thing with rubber grips? Less pretty, but that would absorb some of the muscle-tearing recoil. At over double the cost of an LCR, I'm not interested...

What is actually required for black bear?

dmazur, I wasn't being very clear. I'm more concerned with concealing in town than on the trail. The snubbie will likely be carried IWB for everyday carry. I agree that shoulder carry is good while backpacking though. I just wanted to know if the less than 2" barrel on the LCR would reduce the...

What is actually required for black bear?

Prosser, that is funny about the lightning :) Wolfeye, I agree that a 4" would be better, but concealment is the main thing with this gun. I intend to still carry my Glock 29 10mm, while hiking, but if I find I can shoot a snub .357 at all well, I'd be tempted to maybe carry it while hiking...

What is actually required for black bear?

In my search for the next ccw gun that may double for hiking sometimes, I came to reading about ballistics of .357 in 4" barrel vs 2" barrel and what not. Since I want something that is adequate for defense against anything up to a black bear, I was wondering if anyone knows what range of forces...

How do you carry ammo for your revolver?

For those who carry a revolver concealed, how do you prefer to carry extra ammo? Speedloader in the pocket? Moonclip in a pouch? Or what?

    327pd moon clips?

yeah I can't wrap my little head around why they wouldn't, but it seems they did. I'm awaiting their response on the issue. I've also got an email in to Safariland.

    327pd moon clips?

Looks like no one makes an 8 round speedloader. I'm screwed all the way around:banghead: If anyone knows of ANY way to quickly load a 327pd I'd be much appreciative. I really like the safariland loaders they seem like they'd be as fast as a moon clip and would hold better when being...

    327pd moon clips?

Thanks RC, I was thinking clips would be faster and better for concealed carry as they would be less bulky. But if it's going to be that they are fragile and not super fast, I'll most likely go with the speedloaders and skip all the modification to the gun. Seems like the benefits I had in my...

    327pd moon clips?

I'm wondering if Smith & Wesson wouldn't make one with a cylinder that is machined for it. I'm puzzled, because by what I can see the TRR8 IS machined for it and, as far as I can tell, is the same cylinder otherwise. I've got an email in to them to inquire.

    327pd moon clips?

How much would I be looking to spend to have the gun modified to use moon clips? Would there be any reason not to? Weakening or anything? I'm not entirely sure I prefer moon clips over speedloaders as I honestly just don't have a whole lot of experience with either.

    327pd moon clips?

The longer cartridge may make reloading more difficult than a short cartridge, but you CAN use a moon clip for 357.
