ok, here's the deal. in the somewhat near future i'll be able to buy a new rifle. my price range is 500 and under. my only requirements are that it's centerfire and has affordable ammo readily available, and can't be an ar15 or ak. the guns i already own are a savage 111 in .30-06, a ruger...

eh, my dad is moderately anti. he supports ownership of rifles and shotguns for hunting, but " there's no need for semi-automatic handguns and 'assault rifles'". we have some interesting discussions.

fwiw... i've shot 3 inch groups shooting offhand with my savage with factory ammo. it's a pretty accurate rifle, especially for the price.

i've never had problems with remington ammo. then again, i've only run about 3 bricks through my 10/22, which eats anything.. maybe i'm just lucky.

it depends. if you're not going to add anything to it, the 37. if you want to get all kinds of accessories and whatnot, then the 870. out of the box, i personally prefer the 37, although i don't own one...

i really like it so far. i hope he makes some more episodes...

out of the box i prefer the benelli nova. since the 870 has more upgrades available i'm calling it a tie.
