The S&W 31 belonged to my Father who died in 1975 when I was 12. The S&W I-frame belonged to my maternal Grandmother who died in 1996 at the age of 98. I literally would not take anything for them.
I posted a thread the other day re: my plan to replace the factory adjustable stock on my soon to arrive Ruger SR556C with a fixed A1 stock from Cavalry Arms. Below is the finished product. I bought the AR from my buddies at American Tactical and Pawn in Shelby, NC who also switched out the...
I just ordered an SR556C which should arrive early next week. I've also ordered a Cavalry Arms C1 stock with which I am going to switch out the factory stock because I'm just not a fan of collapsible stocks. Have any of you done this or know someone who installed a fixed stock on any of the...
I took my LCP to the range for the first time on this past Friday. I was quite pleased with it's practical accuracy. I ran the silhouette (which was reduced scale) out to 7 yds and maintained a nice center mass pattern with both aimed fire as well as point shooting. If you still have not made a...
My issue weapon is an M&P .40 FS and my favorite personal carry weapon is my M&P .40C. Therefore, I too am very interested in the M&P .380. The pictures and videos have me very intrigued. My only concern is the external safety. I hope they will come out with a safety-less (is that a word...
I too have had a "Jones" for a small .380 for a few months and had been looking seriously at the LCP. However, S&W is about to start shipping an M&P .380 Bodyguard which really has me intrigued. See link...
I have only one mil surplus firearm so that makes this exercise fairly easy. Here is my 1944 Inland M-1 carbine. It's a sweet shooting (not to mention accurate) little weapon. I wish these battle implements could tell their stories.
Greetings. I picked up my carbine a couple of weeks ago at the C&E Gun Show in Hickory, NC. It is stamped Inland on both the receiver and the barrel along with a date of 1-44. The serial # prefix is 493. The stock is from an M-2.
The below picture shows the result of my first trip to the...
Lone_Gunman,
The target is 18 X 12 and discounting the "fly away" at the top left it's about a 3" (25 rounds). I know there's room for improvement but it's the first time I had shot the gun.
:D :neener:
Greetings. I picked up my M-1 carbine two Saturdays ago at the C&E Gun Show in Hickory, NC. It's an Inland with a serial # of 493xxxx on the receiver and a date of 1-44 on the barrel which is also stamped Inland. The stock is from an M-2. I haven't shot it yet but intend on correcting that later...
Greetings. I picked up this 580 series Tactical at the C&E Gun Show in Hickory, NC this past Saturday. I took it to the range this morning and ran the target out to 25 yards (max distance at the indoor range). Below you will find a pic of my Mini-14 and the results (btw the ammo was 55 gr...
OK now I'll really muddy the waters. Here's the result of a typical day with one of my 3" K frames. What is it, CED, flinching or too little trigger finger? I'm more confused now than before. :p:D
This old S&W I-Frame in .32 cal belonged to my Grandmother. When I was young I thought it was the most beautiful gun in the world and pretty much still do simply because it was her's. Instead of cartridges she said "catridges" like John Wayne's character Ethan in The Searchers. She was born in...
I thought I'd show a target shot under different circumstances for a comparison. I did this four weeks ago when I took my time with my Pro Raptor. It's the day I bought it and also the first time I had fired a 1911 in 15 years. I was "hammer" firing yesterday which resulted in the "spread" on...
