I went for a different 1911, held a Heritage and walked out with a Heritage. I have not regretted the decision. Runs perfect, looks good and makes me look like a much better shooter than I am.

Growing up in the northeast, I have been wearing hoodies since I was a kid. It doesn't draw any attention and frankly no one cares what logo is on it either.

As you can tell by my picture, I agree. Also, with the shooting the crap out of it part (I took the pic after a range session, front is still dirty), it feeds everything and puts it where I aim.
As for the takedown, the first time I used the wrench but I don't think it's necessary.
I have a bunch of local stores that do transfers but one of them will not do Bud's, seems he's had issues with them.
That said, my local stores are close enough to bud's price, I just buy there anyway.
I have the Kahr 380, it shoots nice, is not big on recoil and has not had feeding issues outside of a few during the 200 round break in. Since then, no issues with FMJ or Hollow Point.
All our fine weapons, some are easier to conceal and some are easier to shoot. You really need to make that decision yourself. Have you shot a sub-compact 45 before? Not saying that you it won't work for you but it's not pleasant for some people.

I think you know that everything on here is the movement and the ideal. I don't think felons should have firearms, I just know how it goes on here. It's like watching Glenn Beck, it starts out with one thing and ends a hypothetical national crisis.
