    Security/Speed Six Prices

I still have the gun, too. Bought it it in the mid-80s and still like it, even though I've acquired Pythons that I shoot. I like the bull barrel and the smooth action and light trigger. Years ago I put a spring kit in it and it made the pull heavier. That was wasted money.

    Ruger single six cylinder question.

The early blue Single-Six Convertibles had fluted mag cylinders, but I don't recall when the they stopped - probably in the mid-70s. I bought a blue Convertible in 1972 and both cylinders are fluted. I think they've made some fluted mag cylinders since then, too. The stainless Convertibles had...

How to carry & protect a spare barrel?

    Best possible active hearing protection?

Pro Tac Mag Gold for me. Even if the batteries die you get 30 dB of protection. (Their larger model has 33 dB) I bought mine online during a Labor Day sale years ago and saved $50 or $60. I got the model that uses CR123 batteries so I can always rob a flashlight for spares. I actually had...

Maybe after completion of their sentence and making total restitution to all the people they harmed.

    Don't forget rule number 1

Back in the mid-'50s I was taught the first rule of gun safety by my father... Always treat a gun as if it were loaded. As if... I don't know where my father got this rule. Maybe he learned it in service during WWII or maybe it was with the VA State Police. Maybe he made it up. :)

    Geco .22 semi-auto ammo

It should be good ammo, depending on which variety it is and - like all rimfire ammo - if your gun likes it. Geco along with Rottweil & RWS is part of Dynamit Nobel. Swiss RUAG bought Dynamit Nobel in 2002 iirc. My pistols love Swiss-made Geco 9mm - P210, Sig X5 TAC TB, BHP, etc. It was the...

    SSA proposed NICS rule

"If someone if receiving social security benefits for being "mentally defective" why would it be a stretch to say they could not own a firearm? " Social Security only decides if a person is unable to work for 12 months or more. Not think. Not live. Not have rights. Work. Only work. Is...

How expensive is your carry gun?

My carry gun has cost me 27 cents a day so far. 9 years of everyday use for $900 (I bought it very very slightly used) and I can probably get almost that much for it now - it's a Rohrbaugh R9 with black carbon fiber grips. John P.S. - I just bought a $4k riding mower and I will be...

    Crescent Fire Arms SxS

The chamber length is what it takes to handle a fired shell. Iow, will a fired 2.75" hull fit the chamber. Measure an unfired 2.75" round, it's well under 2.75". I don't think they standardized on the 2.75" chamber until the '20s and early '30s. John

    B Rizzini / Caesar Guerrini

I think you'll find them well liked. I love mine, but don't shoot formal clays. All I have is this 28 ga. Woodlander my father gave me in 2004. :D I/we found it at the gun store near his house on a Saturday and he went back on Monday and bought it. He was getting even for the Cooper Custom...
