Very nice pics. I have never shot an M38 but I will try when I get the chance. Finnish M39 is fun to shoot, though, so I am not completely unfamiliar with Mosin-Nagants.
Try also Walther P99. I have about small to medium size hands and feel very comfortable with CZ-75. When I tried a P99 it felt almost too small for me. According to its owner it had the mid-size backstrap installed.
I have tried a couple of those P226 clones and I like them. Fit and finish look nice even compared to the real thing. Trigger is better on a real Sig but Norincos are not bad, either. I haven't noticed any difference in accuracy but that might be just because of my limited shooting skills...
Mora knives are great. I have also a couple of them.
When it comes to folders, one of my favourites is a French Opinel. They come in different sizes. Mine is their mid-size type with a blade length of about 3.5 inches. Very lightweight and easy to carry in the pocket. Wooden handle feels...
My wife came once to the range with me and tried my S&W 617 couple of times. The first five shot group was so-so but the next one was magnificent. I couldn't duplicate it how hard I tried. I have asked her a few times to come again but she hasn't been interested. Too bad because I am sure she...
Those Sig-Sauers are really nice guns. I have shot them a couple of times and really like their ergonomics.
You may call me heretic but my next pistol might be a Norinco NC-226 which is a faithful copy of Sig P226. I have tried a couple of them and they seem to be well made guns. They are a...
My first 9mm was CZ-75 but it was stolen :cuss: . Next I bought a H&K USP because I liked its sights better (my current pistol). Later when occasionally shooting a borrowed CZ I thought I should have bought another one instead :banghead: . CZ-75 fits my hand better than USP. However, nowadays I...
Congratulations! Looks like you made a very good deal. I have shot a Sig P226 a couple of times and it has been a very enjoyable experience. If I sometimes have to get a new gun I will seriously consider trading my H&K USP to a Sig.
Welcome aboard.
I am a new member, too. And I am slightly jealous about your collection. AR-15 has haunted my dreams a long time. I have a S&W 617 revolver, H&K USP 9mm and a Sako P54 rimfire rifle. All are very fun toys. I am into handgunning and especially action shooting.
My first handgun, which I still own, was a S&W 617 revolver with 8 3/8 inch full lug barrel. I bought it used after I fell in love with its trigger. It is an excellent gun, very accurate. Only drawback is its weight. It is way too heavy for a .22LR, IMHO.
Been lurking quite a while and this seemed an appropriate thread to start.
I am a fan of Terry Pratchett and Sam Vimes is one of my favourite characters, especially after reading The Night Watch.
