Knowing the serial number and make/model is the general litmus. Practically nothing other than your house and car has specific method of official registration, including most jewelry. Some does, but a lot does not. I would bet less than 1% of people know the serial number of their TVs. But it is...
At least into the 80s.. maybe even the 90s. I had some of the Hillary camping gear. Notably a tent, a sleeping bag and I think even a coat. I don't remember much else. I do remember not knowing who Edmund Hillary was until after buying the tent.
6+1, but I never use the +1. I have other firearms in service at home if 6 12ga shells are enough to handle a situation. I pray it won't come to that, but just in case.
Yes, I think It would have to be based on a big bore Marlin receiver I would think. The 444 is longer than the 357 Max. I had never heard of the max until recently, but it's an interesting round.
I am almost always fiddling with a gun so usually have one nearby. My HD shotgun is usually within arms reach, but I live out in the country, so no hyper sensitive folks that would have a fit if they happened to see me with one.
Hmmm, so far I can still order from them in Indiana. I just bought from Titan reloading as well. Not sure what law might specifically affect the manufacturer vs a distributor but possible. I know personally there are a few states I wouldn't ship anything to our of fear of their convoluted laws...
I don't think today's typical carry pistols will age well. To be fair, most have a face only a mother could love. There is little craftsmanship to them. Just functional. And as plastic guns age, frames will crack. Fine while you can get replacements... or print them, but they don't stand the...
So, it sounds like no ammo should be stored in ammo cans since there are both primers and powder together in the cartridges. Are ammo cans a relic of the past? Just store everything open? I get the difference between powder and primer, one is an explosive and one is not. I've never really...
New to reloading.
So SAAMI says to not store primers in ammo can, but then again ammo cans are designed to store ammo, which has primers. I can understand why you don't want a pressurized container, but it's also good at protecting them from damage and moisture.
Also read not to store primers...
I don't own a Raging Hornet, but the round has intrigued me. I was curious, with the tapered case, do they back out of the cylinder often? Or do they have a retention mechanism?
I have never bought brass, but I don't have any obscure rounds. Of course I'm just getting into reloading now, but I've been buying pieces for a long time. I've always tried to keep all my brass, except 380... which I now am going to have to find 380 brass.
I'm quite the fan of the Model 11s myself. All the more because they were made in the same country I was :D (though I know Browning did have some American made A5s during the war) Not that there is anything wrong with Belgium or Japan.
I just happened to run across a photo of a Model 11 with a Texas/English stock
https://www.icollector.com/Superb-Rare-English-Stock-Remington-UMC-Model-11C-Trap-Grade-Semi-Automatic-Shotgun_i11027481
Was this a custom job or did Remington actually offer this as a model or perhaps using the...
Mans sees gun
For costly sum
But funds say no
And so he go
Work till late
Baloney ate
Till cash he had
But now man sad
Gun done gone
Sold at dawn
Though wallet flush
He lost his crush
Temper flares
man now swears
His face beet red
He hangs his head
Clerk then say
"Do not fray"
"Just order...
