I would have to disagree with this statement. If you are a person who owns an AR, for things other than just slingin lead at the range or being a collector. Than being reasonably effective and practiced at bump firing...
I have a 500 persuader with the same stock pictured and have no trouble reaching the safety. All it is, is a thumb move away unless you have extremely short thumbs I guess. With the pistol grip it offers much more ease of secure tight shouldering, and wielding the weapon in any way or situation...
