    What .40 for my 40th?

I would go with a CZ with a steel frame but hard to find in .40 where I am. They are beautiful guns. The Sig is a great quality gun too but they are pricy and most I have seen have aluminum frames.

    Learn from my ND

I had a ND in 1990.My last so far. My BHP with the mag disconnect had one in the chamber and I didn’t realize it and I shot a round into the carpet. My father who was ther flinched and told me not to tell his wife, my mother who heard the shot and came running. We all lied to her, nothing...

    Rohrbaugh 380

I really like the RM380. I have never had a malfunction of any kind and that makes me happy for a pocket carry pistol. Trigger takes some getting used to but Remington did a good job with the Rohrbaugh design.I also got 4 extra mags a couple years back for $12 each on a clearance at Midway. Very...

    Your "favorite" semiauto

Browning Hi Power and my Colt SS Govt model. I bought one of the last production run nickel BHP’s in 1989. Still perfect and absolutely gorgeous! I also love my CZ 85 Combat and my Kahr PM 9. PM9 for carry is A+, never a malfunction from round one.

    LCP vs P3AT question

Jeb, no need for the personal insults. I just posted my my personal opinion on The Gen 1 P3AT from my experience. I did a lot of work trying to make that pistol reliable to no avail and it was frustrating to say the least. I found their quality control to be lacking to let a gun out of the door...

    LCP vs P3AT question

I bought a P3AT in 2004, the Gen 1. Worst pile of junk ever made IMO. It never fed a complete magazine even after I did the “fluff and buff. It was Far too easy to hit magazine eject button when shooting. Magazine catch is really low end trash failed and far too soon. I had to take a dremel to...

    I am Anti Open Carry!

So what's the point? Fasion or open carry? From you post it appears that fasion is. IMHO, if you carry open in most places, people will call the cops on you and that is no fun even if open carry is legal. That is the conditioning of our society in most places. Why not get a CCW, or as they...

BABY DESERT EAGLE or CZ-85 COMBAT?

I got a CZ 85 several years ago. This is a well made pistol and I have never had a malfunction. If you can get the real thing, why go for a copy?

    Beretta 92 or CZ

I like the CZ. Feels better in my hand. IMHO, the BHP is the best gun in terms of ergonomics. The CZ comes in second. Beretta feels like a brick in my hand.

    Looking for a Holster

You have probably checked out alot of dealers. I recently got a nice holster for a .40 Kahr from WWW.Highnoonholsters.com While cetainly not a remotely similar gun, High Noon has a large selection and they are great to work with. Good luck.

Would you ever carry 4 rounds in a 6 shooter if you sleep with your revolver?

My cousin who was a physician passed away in 1999. He fell asleep and nevr woke up again. His son went over before the coroner and others got there and he found a S&W 29 (.44 mag) undr his pillow. He also found another .38 under the pillow next to him. Both with 6 rounds in them. He was kind...

    Knob Creek is cancelled!

When I first moved to KY from CA, Kentucky Rifle, who is no longer with us, asked me if I liked the weather. I said it's OK I guess. He said wait 10 minutes, it will change. He was right. You just never know. Having come from a place virtually no weather, KY certainly is different.

Why the M9 and not the Hi-Power?

The M9 is a nice pistol but it feels like a brick in my hands compared to a a High Power. I much prefer the feel of the HP or the CZ 75 or 85. The CZ will offer you the SA/DA if you want that while a BHP is single action only. I bought my BHP in 1986 and have never been disappointed with it...

    how many DOCTORS are CCW?

My first cousin was an Orthopaedic Surgeon. One day he was driving and someone cut him off. He gave them the 1 finger salute. Those persons forced him to pull over and beat him up. Ever since then he carried. He passed away in 1999 but he always had a gun with him. He even slept with one under...

    pocket pistols

I have wardrobe restrictions most everyday. I like the Kel Tec P-3AT. Like others have said, you almost forget you have it in your pocket. I have caught myself freaking out because I can hardly tell the thing is there until I pat myself down to make sure. Mine has been flawlessly reliable...

Do you regret selling your first gun?

My first gun was a present from my father when I was 11 years old. It is an Remington single shot 22. He didn't want me to get a pump or a semi-auto because he thought the time and effort to load a single shot weapon would make me a better shooter. I think it did. I hardly ever shoot the thing...

HELP PLEASE What gun for pocket carry?

If you have to work in an office with shirt tucked in, I found the Kel Tec 3AT very easy to carry in my pocket. Doesn'e wheigh much and hardly noticeable. Not the ideal stopping power to be sure but then again, better than a .22 or nothing at all.
