Hickok45 inadvertently proves Kahr magazines suck

A couple of years ago I replaced the original (raw SS) base plates on my PM9 mags with the newer black coated ones when they went on sale on the Kahr web site. The dimple on the ones that I got seem to be struck a little better and tend to stay in place a little better.

Hickok45 inadvertently proves Kahr magazines suck

Are you serious? Are you kidding me? I've had my G43 for nearly two months now. It has 964 flawless rounds thru it. No part failures, no part replacements. No calls to Glock in regards to the pistol giving me problems at all. It just keeps on ticking like that Timex watch. ;) My...

    Should I dump a PM9

Mine as well. When I bought my PM9 the CM9 wasn't yet out. If it had been, I would still have purchased the PM9. ;)

    Should I dump a PM9

No question...as long as they function 100%. ;)

    Should I dump a PM9

I bought my PM9 in 2011. It has the black diamond finish slide w/night sights. It had to go back to Kahr twice for legitimate issues in order to get it to function 100%...or so I think right now. I don't carry it or shoot it but with what I have invested in spare Kahr parts, mags and holsters...

Kahr PM 9 vs. Kahr MK9

IIRC, it was the Mk9 and the Mk40. I'm sure those in the know will come along with the correct answer.

Kahr PM 9 vs. Kahr MK9

Yes it is and pleasant to shoot for its size.

Kahr PM 9 vs. Kahr MK9

I fired 425 rounds thru my PM9 during its initial range session in 2011. I considered it "broken" in. "Broken" being the operative word here. Two of my 5 mags failed in that time. Kahr had no explanation for this and acted dumb, never heard of this, but they gladly replaced the mags no...

Kahr PM 9 vs. Kahr MK9

True and one has to be aware of that fact and not be heavy handed if tightening it down should it work its way out. IMO, not a good design feature.

Kahr PM 9 vs. Kahr MK9

I bought an all black PM9 w/night sights in 2011 for a personal specific carry reason and it fits the bill well. It has not been without its issues and has been back to Kahr twice to correct those issues. It has had several parts replaced, all at n/c from Kahr. That being said, I still like my...

    Sub machine gun ammo

Back in the late '60's, I worked at a LGS. We bought cases of this stuff thru one of our distributors. The headstamps were more current that the 1940's but I don't recall exactly what. The ammo we had was in fact Canadian. It came in 64 rd. unmarked brown boxes, a couple of thousand rds. or so...

    SBR Engraving and Abbreviation

This is what my Brother was told recently about the SBR he is currently building. It appears that a lot has changed since I did mine on a Form 1 in '08. Like I said, If that is incorrect by todays standards, it is what it is.

    SBR Engraving and Abbreviation

When I built my SBR in 2008, this is what I went by as far as what I had engraved on my lower. Mine is on a Form 1, not a trust. From the AFT Handbook at that time. 7.4.2 Additional information. Certain additional information must also be conspicuously placed on the frame, receiver, or...

Best Pocket Carry in 9MM ?

I'm not a big fan of pocket carry for various personal reasons but, when all else fails, my PM9 is about as good as it gets.

    Thoughts about the Kahr CW380?

You are correct however, the first time my PM9 had to go back, Kahr picked up the return shipping without me even asking them. I think, they paid for so many pistols to go back that they one day said enough is enough, we can't keep paying for pistols to come back that didn't work when they...

    Thoughts about the Kahr CW380?

IMO, that's why they are having the problems that they are. Quality control has gone way down. Their reluctance to properly address the feed ramp issue is a big mistake on their part. They would rather have the customer send their new pistol back than re-design the feed ramps and sell pistols...

    Thoughts about the Kahr CW380?

I bought my PM9 in 2011 NIB. I experienced problems with the mags on day one. My PM9 had additional "slight issues" for awhile, too long and boring to list here again. It went back to Kahr twice for repair or modification...on their dime each time. My point I guess is that Kahr CS back then...

    Whatever happened to the guy...

That's the guy. I was wondering how he made out w/his CM9 and Kahr CS.
