    LCR 3-inch Review

oss117 - They do have the same internals. I believe the reason the trigger feels better in this model is the extra-large grip; it gives the shooter better leverage over the trigger, causing it to 'feel' lighter. Ofcourse Ruger could have simply sent me a cherry-picked one, but given the way...

    LCR 3-inch Review

OK, here's the skinny on the questions you guys asked. As for the various additional chamberings, Ruger has basically said, "No comment" at this time. The new Hogue Tamer grip will be available any time now on ShopRuger.com - expect to see it within the next week. On the unfluted...

    LCR 3-inch Review

Drail - Initially I did not. But I just went outside and fired off a few boxes of various rounds and didn't have any issue with Federal FMJ, Federal Hydra Shok +P or Monarch 158 semi-jacketed wadcutters. - I emailed my contact at Blaser and Buffalo bore hoping to get some rounds to test, but no...

    LCR 3-inch Review

I just got back from a long hike with the wife and I think I found the point of this little 5-shooter. Initially I was put off by a long-barreled small-frame revolver. Not because I don't think it's not cool or anything, simply I couldn't figure out the point of the gun. I think I found it...

    LCR 3-inch Review

bannockburn -Sure thing. RustyShackelford - The shells don't eject with as much gusto as they do on the more traditional GP100 series of handguns, they occasionally require the shooter to tilt the cylinder down while ejecting. Though, this seems to be limited to certain ammo makes like PPU...

    LCR 3-inch Review

CountZer0 - yeah I'll ask right now though they probably won't get back to my until Monday. urbaneruralite - The width is very similar to the regular LCR, but the depth is different due to the lack of finger grooves. Overall it fills the hand better and gives you more gun to hang on to.

    LCR 3-inch Review

The front sight is attached VIA roll pin, so I assume it's replaceable. The longer grip is much better at giving shooters more real estate to hang on to. Just like the original it has Hogue soft rubber grips, but unlike the original it lacks finger grooves. Still it goes a good job of soaking...

    LCR 3-inch Review

Hey guys, I'm the review editor for Guns.com, and I just got my hands on Ruger's new LCR. I'm taking a break to eat my lunch before heading out to the range to do an extensive review. I wanted to know what questions or concerns you guys had about the gun before getting started, so that I...

Anyone shoot the IDPA in NC

Hey, any of you guys know of any place around Florence, SC that hosts IDPA matches? I just moved to the area and I haven't found anything yet. (alternativly is the original poster is in south eastern NC, if he knows anywhere in that vicinity I'd be game for that too)

What guns have you traded/sold off for other guns?

I traded a WASR with 3 magazines + $200 for a Colt Series 70 1911 in stainless, best gun decision I've ever made. Alternatively I stupidly traded a Colt Commander (unfired still in box) for an auto ordnance thompson carbine which i later sold to buy a big TV (I know I'm a knuckle head) I...

Ever listen in on other people's gun conversations?

Madcap_Magician, I don't doubt that, but relying on that to stop a threat is more than incompetent, it's negligent. While I'm not personally a gambling man, one would have to have some serious faith in lady luck to risk your entire family's safety on a scary noise maker. look, I'm sure that...

Ever listen in on other people's gun conversations?

I've had my eyes roll so far back in my skull i think I saw myself as both an infant and a corpse before. I was at my local gun store, browsing through some of their milsurp stuff, when I overhear one of the two guys who just entered the room tell the other that a pump action shotgun is the...
