Would you stay in a state that stopped allowing you to carry

I wouldn't if I could afford to leave. At the moment though I would have to stay put. Luckily in my state that type of change would require changing the state constitution so hopefully I won't ever have to make that choice. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk

    NRA decals

I have a small NRA sticker on my bumper. In hidsight I wish I had put it on my rear window instead of on my painted bumper. Thats my only regret about putting it on my car though.

Kroger chain bans customers from carrying

When I said "your quote" I meant that as in the quote that you posted, I wasn't trying to say that it was a quote of somthihng you said. And absolutely I am willing to equate wearing a gun with wearing a shirt. If a business can tell someone they can't enter because they are not wearing...

Kroger chain bans customers from carrying

I agree with everything you said Basicblur. However I believe that property owners can limit what parts of the public can use their property. I don't thinks it is as "all or nothing" as your quote makes it seem. For example, "No shirt, no shoes, no service". So while a business is free to post...

Should the terrorist watch list ban you from buying (or owning) a gun.

I voted no. I have heard too many stories of people put on the watchlist wrongly, and having difficulties being removed from it. With that track record in mind I don't think it passes nearly close enough scrutiny to prevent law abiding citizens from wrongly losing their right to bear arms.

Draw your gun = call the police?

As others have said the first to call in usually gets the benefit of the doubt. If I ever have to draw in self defense you can bet calling 911 is going to be first on my list as soon as I am no longer in danger.

    Whats your caliber footprint?

I only have 3 guns currently. But they cover all of my current needs. Home/Self defense, small game hunting, and big game hunting. (by big game I mean any north american game animal too big to kill with a .22) ;) 9mm Luger .22LR .30-06

    Dedicated Deer Gun?

He did say he is open to reloading, so I am surprised more people didn't recommend going that route. That is instead of buying a new rifle handoading lighter recoiling .30-06 rounds for deer. $1000 could get you a pretty nice reloading setup, plus enough books to learn what you need to know to...

    Police attitudes toward open carry

What confuses me most is the one guy's willingness to go on TV when he carries an empty gun. I mean why even bother?! He might as well be carrying a rock on his hip.

Loaded guns in the house; too much or prudent?

I just don't understand the logic of leaving loaded guns unsecured around the house. Even assuming you don't have kids and that the weapons are secured when you leave the house to make them harder to steal, why would you want to leave guns all over the place? It seems to me that having a gun...

Oh heck, I'll ask... do Cpaps pose an additional risk to firearms?

Considering that they are supposed to be used with distilled water, and only generate a small amount of moisture I would think it would be a non-issue...unless you never clean or oil your firearms.

    Ever hurt by a firearm?

My first time ever firing a center-fire rifle was a 7mm back when I was 15. The guy that took me shooting didn't think I needed to know that my face was too close to the scope, so I got a nasty cut over my eye where the rifle scope hit me.(He even said after that he knew it was going to happen...

    Gun Clubs & NRA Membership

I didn't vote because I am not a member of a gun club currently. I did recently apply for membership at a gun club that requires NRA membership though, and don't see a problem with it.

    Long Range Ethics

Personally I don't see a problem with it *if* a person has practiced enough at a given range and has the skill/equipment needed to make those long shots consistently. Despite the fact that military snipers do it regularly, some people just seem to be stuck in a mind set of "if I can't/won't do...

    Alcohol and CCW?

Personally I don't see a problem with a drink or two with while carrying. Matter of fact last year I went to a new years eve party at a friends house I had a drink while I was there and was carrying. I limit myself to no more than one drink in a given 2 hours if armed though, but thats just me...

shoot a little often, or a lot sparingly?

Personally I used to fire as much ammo as I could afford to each time I went to the range. Usually 200+ rounds. It occurred to me one day recently though that my accuracy wasn't really improving. So now I shoot fewer rounds and concentrate more on technique and my groups are getting smaller.

    Scope mounting question

I checked brownells and midwayusa but I could not find a screwdriver or bit that has that round part in the center of a flathead. I am 100% certain that I tightened both screws when I mounted the scope. A couple people on another forum stated it's because of the dovetail mount on the model 60...

    Scope mounting question

I recently mounted a Bushnell .22 rimfire scope on my Marlin model 60. I *thought* I had tightened the screws down pretty tight. When I sighted in last week at 50 yards my best 5 shot group was barely over an inch across. Today I took it to another range and was shooting at a distance of only 25...
