    New Kel-Tec PMR-30 auto pistol

    What are you talking about?

    New Kel-Tec PMR-30 auto pistol

Doubt it. Kel-Tec is a budget firearm company and my P32, two P3ATs and P11 all only came with one magazine. Don't expect this one to be any different. Nobody? Most people can lay off the booze, smokes, junk/fast food, scratch off lotto tickets, whatever "insert frivolous purchases" for a...

    New Kel-Tec PMR-30 auto pistol

And, maybe you'd know that beta tester comment has been QUITE accurate with some of Kel-Tec's initial offerings.

Why police used Revolvers while military used 1911's "back in the day"?

I was a chopper pilot, too, but missed the first Gulf war. Did OIF/OEF and we were all "issued" Sigs. P226s, I believe. That was in the mid-late 90s. We actually weren't "issued" anything. We checked them out from the armory right before flying and had to return them immediately upon...

Why police used Revolvers while military used 1911's "back in the day"?

Hmmm.... I was never issued an M-9 as a Navy pilot. We all flew with Sigs.

Y'all beta testers be sure to let the rest of us know how those work out. ;)

    New Kel-Tec PMR-30 auto pistol

I'd wait a while to see if the initial release works. Kel-Tec went through hell and back with the P32 and P3AT when those models were brand new. Multiple extractor and ejector designs/shapes, etc. In fact, the P3AT is now produced as a very different pistol from initial release. They...

Give 'em time to work out any (very?) potential kinks, too.

What other forums do you read?

This forum is okay, but it's by far the most straight laced (i.e. boring) one I frequent. Not even a general "shoot the ****" section and, NO, I don't want to add yet ANOTHER forum to check in my favorites. APC was pretty damned boring the last time I checked, too.

Why police used Revolvers while military used 1911's "back in the day"?

No, not ONLY Kimber. Far from it. The federal AWB of 1994 (remember that?) also precluded new pistols from being sold with magazines of higher than a capacity of 10 rounds. Manufacturers couldn't make magazines over 10 rounds to sell to the public, either. So, if it was going to be 10 or...

    New Kel-Tec PMR-30 auto pistol

Rcmodel, thanks! Credit is due where credit is due. I didn't see that it had a heel mag release or plastic mags. BUT, you know what I'm talking about with the Kel-Tecs, especially the P3AT, and how it's not the same set up as Glock. Amazingly, you may have had a stock catch last that long...

    New Kel-Tec PMR-30 auto pistol

I knew what he was getting at. YES, Glock uses "plastic" magazine catches and I even SAID they did. He realized the interface materials are DIFFERENT with KT pistols, unlike Glocks. If he's half man worth his salt, he's admit that to be true. Or he won't. But, he'd at least make a comment...

    New Kel-Tec PMR-30 auto pistol

Sorry, if he's saying the PROBLEM Kel-Tec is known for (especially the P3AT which is WELL documented) with their plastic mag catches wearing out because they interface DIRECTLY against a steel magazine body is happening with Glocks because they also use a plastic/polymer magazine catch, then he...

    New Kel-Tec PMR-30 auto pistol

Gatorjames85, you couldn't be more wrong. I'm still in possession of two P3ATs and a P11. The P11 was okay enough out of the box, even with that sh&tty trigger, but the P3ATs? They took a LOT of work to get running decently.

    New Kel-Tec PMR-30 auto pistol

Yeah, and if you knew what you were actually talking about, you'd realize that the Glock magazine bodies are plastic/polymer, WHICH IS THE SAME MATERIAL AS THE MAG CATCH, with a steel lining. Since both are the same material, there isn't a "one will wear the other" interface issue... UNLIKE...

So what you're saying is he's going to ban everything?

    Beretta 84/85 FS

And they're chambered in a now VERY hard to find (in a great many places) and expensive caliber, which is much weaker than the 9x19. Sure makes me want to drop the coin on one.
