For those of us who have poor hearing, electonic muffs preserve what hearing we have left and bring our hearing close to normal.
I would like to find some muffs with a lower level of electronic noise (hiss).

I use lots of MBC 215 Trooper bullets in my 41 mags without leading.
In the 6.5" Ruger BH:
17 gr of 2400 delivers 1356 fps
19 gr of N110 delivers 1452 fps
Of Course, always check published reloading data from manufacturers rather than believing results from hobbyists like me.

Leupold VX III 1.5x5.
I have them on 3 of my deer hunting rifles.
(These are not safe queens.)
Bought the first & second in 1977 and 1987.
They are still going strong.
The 3rd one was broken when I got it for nothing.
Leupold fixed it for free.
For long range precision use and other...
Hello Dan,
The Hornady Manual will help answer your questions.
For the 7mm-08, the same loading table is used for the four 154 gr bullets including the #2830 SP and the #28309 IB.
You did not specify the load you are using with the Interlock, so it is hard to comment on that.
If is is...
The Lyman Pistol & Revolver Handbook is a great source for good loads with cast bullets. Another good source is the web sites by the powder suppliers.
Also look at the sites that specialize in cast bullets.
The 41 mag rocks with cast bullets !
I run my 6 inch guns with loads near the top.

257 Roberts makes a slick little deer rifle.
I have one that is a loaner for kids on their first hunt.
It has worked every time.
Be safe and have fun.

Look at the Hornacy site: http://www.hornady.com/support/downloads/load-data
The 200 gr bullet is for the 460 S&W, so will have about DOUBLE the velocity of the 225 gr bullet designed for the 45 Colt.

In a CZ 9mm with the MBC 125 gr SmallBall bullet, you need to seat the bullet deeper to get a shorter OAL to have the catridge chamber properly.
My notes show that I used an OAL of 1.050.
!! YOU MUST REDUCE YOUR POWDER CHARGE WHEN YOU REDUCE THE OAL !!
This has been discussed before on THR...
This information is readily availble in the 7th or 8th edition of Hornady's manual and
on the powder manufacturer's website http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp.

Page 176 of the Lyman Pistol & Revolver Handbook 3rd edition has relevant data for you.
This is a great reference for anyone reloading for handguns.

I have used QL very successfully on handgun loads.
For example, if you take careful *measurements* of case capacity and bullet length, you can model the effects of changing the OAL.
It also helps to model loads from various manuals to understand the differences.
Of course, QL is a computer...

My experience with "hotter than suggested" primers is that often there is little change in average velocity and a marked decrease is the variation of velocity.
IF YOU ARE GOING TO...
I followed the Viht book and used small *rifle* primers for 357 with N110.
N-110 is my powder of choice for top end loads in my magnum revolvers.
I have found that it will outrun H110/W296, does the job with less flash and blast, is clean and meters well in my Dillon SDB.
If you want to load...
OK, I located my Lyman #49.
The 375 Win pages include 2 jacketed and 2 cast bullets.
For each bullet, 6 or 7 powders are listed.
The bullet that meets your description is a 249 gr cast.
Fastest & potentially most accurate load uses IMR-4227.
Min is 22 gr @ 1617 fps. Tested in a Win 94.
Max is...
Hornady #8 shows 41 Mag with 210 XTP with a max of 20.0 gr @ 1350.
Two steps below max, 18.4 gr pushes them out at 1250.
Your loads should be fine if you took normal precautions buildiing them.

What type of bullet ?
QuickLoad could provide a general idea of which powders would work.
I'd bet that the old PO Ackley's Handbook would include the 375 Whelen.
