Compact [CCW] 9mm that can handle +P+

You can consider to go with a H&K USP Compact. A friend of mine was quite happy with his H&K USP Comp. I shooted more than 300 rounds it is reliable and very very accurate, like a full size pistol. CCW a H&K USP Compact is not an issue with a good kydex IWB holster at all Cheers

    Elements of collecting autoloaders.

I am in the opinion that a collectible gun has to reflect a feature or an invention. A collectible candidate also can a gun which dominate its time. May be it is better to go with some examples; Walther PPK the first DA/SA (innovation) Colt 1911 (served to US army 74 years, more then...

Improved sights for a CZ75B need some advice

I have the same problem with my CZ 75B. Also the front sight was a bit small, and cause to hit from the upper side of the target. Thus I took the decision to change the original front sight which was 4,5mm. with a new fiber optic one which is 6,5mm. I choose also the option of 1,5 mm. diameter...

    Am I crazy?

If you looking for one of the best 9mm. with soft trigger out of box without any needs of trigger job, I highly advise CZ 75. It might be CZ 75 SA and if you prefer even you may choose CZ 75 or CZ 75B. I am very happy with my CZ 75B and I can use it in either way SA and DA.. Cheers..

    CZ 75B Trigger question

Dear Triplebike, Let me share my experience with my CZ75B.. The DA trigger stays as it is, since the day1. So no expectations on DA trigger. After first 750 rounds the SA trigger gets to be softened a bit. Not as smooth and crisp as a 1911's trigger but quite satisfactory. Please note...

S&W 3913 good for range use?

    (i) Barrel lenght and (ii)Trigger pull plays the key roles in the range. SA trigger pull of 3913 is good. But the barrel lenght is not enough. For the range I will advise the CZ 75B. But it is not good for CCW. Thus, you have to make decision. Will you choose a good range gun (CZ75B) or a good...

    SIG, S&W, other?

Dear JWF II, you wrote; ".. I'm looking for a single stack 9mm, metal frame, DA/SA (aka TDA), compact size.." How you forget Sig Sauer P 225. This is a "cult". So I voted for P225. One of the best single stack 9 mm. in the market. Cheers,

.45 ACP a bad choice for first handgun

Try to rent a sig P226 or Cz 75 from a range and make him shot with them in 9mm. If he still prfers the .45 then let him make his choice as he wants.
