What gun have you purchased that has garnered the most regret. I have two. The Walther P22. This thing had a horrible trigger, ran terribly unreliable, and appeared to be eating itself alive with wear. The second is the Remington R51 gen 2. I bought it out of curiosity. Although it ran...
Picked mine up yesterday.
Got mine yesterday. Took it home and took it apart and cleaned it. The disassembly is a departure from any othe gun I have but after a couple of times I have become familiar with it. Fit and finish are good. I have not found any machining marks or blemishes in the...
My local store has a few in stock. I am really interested in this gun with its unique design and affordable price. I still am a little gun shy though due to its earlier problems. Has anyone else seen any at their local places?
When I took it apart everything appeared to be tight. I remember when I put it together being concerned about over tightening them. I checked them several times over the last year and a half.
I am a little disappointed today. Earlier I noticed a small amount of dust coming from the bottom of my tumbler bowl. I emptied it and found a 1 inch long crack in the bottom. After removing the bowl for further examination I found two of the three mounting points are cracked halfway through the...
14 years as a volunteer firefighter and I have seen several garage and kitchen fires that started very small and got out of hand. most could have been put out with a small extinguisher if one had been available.
Just got off the phone with Taurus. Very nice and helpful customer service. The part will be delivered by the end of the week. I realize this is by no means a high end firearm but it's nice to see company's be go out of their way to help even when there was no fault of their own.
The only thing modified on the gun was the grip safety itself. The previous owner had limited ability in his hand and could not reliably deactivate the safety. I am going to give Taurus a call and see what they say.
I came across a deal I could not pass up from a friend on a Taurus PT1911 in 9mm. The previous owner disliked the grips safety enough to grind it down enough that it no longer prevents the trigger from being pulled. What drop in
(or requiring the least fitting) grip safety will work? Thanks.
I was only kidding about the handgun comment. The AR was purchased with the intent to possibly be used as home defense but that is a different topic in itself. I suppose the reasoning of not spending more on the pistol caliber carbine was to test the waters and see if I like it. I suppose if...
