For those that have not read the complete thread, he did buy the Hornady Lock n Load. Mine is an earlier one and does not have the break away assembly. I've not had any problems not.sure why they changed it.

I found the giraffe bone for this at a local knife show, bought it and sent it to the knife maker.
I asked about material for handgun grips at the time but they had none large enough. I have seen some handgun grips made from it but don't know where you would find it.

If we can choose a custom Blackhawk I'd go with this 44 special built on an early flattop.
You can get the same basic gun as above in a new model Bisley 44 special a great do it all gun with not much recoil. The 44 mags in my first picture are old models and would be harder to come by but if...
I can't speak about the others but I have a T7 with the optional primer system. Great press, primer system is a joy to use with a very positive feel when seating primers. Spent primers drop through the ram and can be collected in a container. The ability to mount multiple dies is a plus in my...
Add some grease to the ram via the top zerk fitting....that will add resistance to the ram. You'll have to be carefull as to much grease will make it to stiff, it will loosen as you use the press.
IIRC there were some bad bushing that made it out to the public, some started to look like that with very few rounds loaded. Hornady has been replaceing them.
They may not be responsible but they could at least act like they care about a customers needs. It would have been a simple matter to offer up a list of stocking dealers in Trapper500's area.

I have a few 44 mag Rugers also but I enjoy shooting these 44 Specials a bit more I use the Skeeter load in these two.

I agree with the bad casting, my LnL has loaded many thousands of rounds with no issues other then a damaged case retention spring. My fault on the spring Hornady promptly sent me a couple free of charge.
I tighten my shell plates with the wrench provided, snug but not over-done. I also...
Next time you have the feed tube out look at the ends, one end is machined to fit in the opening of the primer assembly.
If the primer shuttle area on the base plate gets powder or other debri ( cleaning media ) caught in it I notice the primers don't line up and have crunched a few. Clean...
Here are a couple of things to try.....
Run a batch with the same head stamp and check to see if it is more consistant. If it is the different neck tension caused by different head stamps is the problem. The o-rings on the bushings allow some play in the die if one piece of brass needs more...
These are some I made for an old model Super Blackhawk. They are made from an Oregon Holly tree my son cut down. These have a lot more grain then the east coast Holly.
I made these from some Holly purchased from a hard wood seller, the wood came from the east coast.
These were made by...
