    Single vs double ejector?

Mine is in 3006, and rivetless. The only ones I can find are for the .222 bolt face or are labeled "magnum." Do you know if the magnum size will fit the 3006 bolt face? I know the .222 won't.

    Single vs double ejector?

It has come time to replace the extractor in my Remington 721 which means a conversion to the badger/m16 extractor. The gunsmith I am looking offers a single or a double ejector. What are the advantages of a double ejector? Is a single good enough? Tell me why I should have a double ejector done.

    9mm vs 380

This. You want a .380 in a locked breached (not fixed barrel) full-size pistol. The Smith .380 EZ fits that bill. It was made for just your situation. Try it and I'll bet you'll like it. If that is still too much for you, find one of those Beretta model 81 in .32 that were imported not very...

    .30 Super Carry review

Its not a Tok a like cartridge. Its a high pressure .32 French Long. Lengthen a bit to get in a bullet weight on par with light 9mm bullet weights. Really Vista thought they saw niche they could exploit, but I think it is trying to be too many things to too many people. It wants to supplant...

    Tanfoglio Witness?

My 9mm Tanfoglio runs like a top. I love it. Its accurate, fills my hand well, and I've never had a mechanical problem with it that wasn't fixed by a good cleaning every once in a while. If I was in the market for another 10mm (I like my G29), I'd get a Tanfoglio.

What do you do when you shoot a pheasant? Catch it!

That is dangerous. I know of two people who tried to catch birds and got speared through the hand by the bird's bill. Best outcome, step to the side.

Shotgun for 12 year old girl

I have five daughters all shoot, all are less than 5'2". I highly recommend the Weather by SA08. We love the 28 gauge, but the 20 is more practical for a one and only. (We have a few different gauges in our household). The gun, a cut down and a new stock pad and an extra stock (for when she...

Rifle magazine with a manual feed?

I was watching a precision rifle YouTube channel, the guy shooting was using magazine fed howa rifle in a custom chassis. After each shot it looked like he would touch the bottom of the magazine to release a round into the chamber before closing the bolt. I have not seen that before. Are...

So what happen to 10 Gauge shotguns and etc...

3.5 inch 12 gauge shells happened. Much easier to make and sell a 12 gauge that can do it all 2.75, 3 and 3.5. Once the 3.5 became more common, especially when steel goose l Ioads were loaded in that size the 10 gauge was just not very necessary.

    Low recoil deer rifle/cartridge?

If you want an AR upper to fit your requirements, take some time to look at the .277 wolverine. It has been my go-to when introducing my kids to deer hunting. It shines out to 150 yards (and can do 200) is very mild in recoil, and has a track record with deer sized game.

    Binocular recommendations?

I like Vortex glass a lot, and I think the Diamond back HD models are very good glass for the money. I hunt a lot of open country and if I want more than my 8x, I want my spotting scope. The 8x will give you a wider field of view, and make more of the light you have in low light conditions...

New website for black powder shooters

Awesome Le Mat article. I have loved that pistol ever since I read about it in a Louis Lamour novel. I remember the gun better than the novel and seeing one at the Smithsonian was the highlight of my trip to Washington DC as a teenager. Reading your piece was almost just as good. Well done.

    Gloves for recoil managment

I visited my father in law over the holiday and he mentioned he is not shooting very often any more because of the recoil to his hands. Any recommendations for some gloves to help recoil managment? I'm thinking they would be a welcomed Christmas present.

What does it cost to go to the range in your neck of the woods?

Gas. and 45 minutes of travel time. That's it. And you can have a 1000 yard range if you want. If you need to shoot sooner, you can pay a $10 range fee for an indoor range.

Beretta 3032 vs Kel Tec P32

I have not read through the proceeding four pages of posts but I have owned both pistols. I loved my tomcat, but the frame crack problem is real and there has not been any adequate fix. The 3032 fills the palm well but is heavy for a modern .32. And once that frame cracks your accuracy goes...

    Remington Arms layoffs

I still feel remington shotguns are still very solid .Yeah the wingmasters now are not as they were, but the V3 and the versamax are some innovative and quality pieces. Certainly the R51 debacle and the title quality have not kept up, but Remington s problems, like most companies in fanger...
