1924 catalog for S&W M&P
Just found a catalog from 1924 showing the gun with the smaller left side monogram like this one with a price of $32.50 plus $5.00 for the pearl
My mistake Jim..I'd like to know how they did the grip fitting. What a daunting task it must have been to get the fit that accurate without marring the pearl or steel. It must have taken hours and hours if not days.

The grip finishing method you quoted must be accurate because the pearl fits so smoothly ..They are the best fitted pearl handles I've ever felt...I agree with you that the pearl must be factory and fitted before the gun was polished and nickeled..

The M&P appears to me to be factory nickel but aftermarket (no serial) grips
Thanks to Radagast, It's a 1927-1930...
I have a S&W model 10 chrome pearl sn 6419XX..it's in 100% condition..the pearl grips fit perfectly but are not marked..What's the mfg date please and approximate value?
