For those who carry a revolver ???

I don't know how it's like anything kydex (ugh). I will not have an open top holster with no type of retaining strap at all. When I put my hand on the gun and grip it, my finger is automatically in the right position to snap off the strap, which I can do very quickly, so that's why my holsters...

    Capacity of CCW Handgun

So, it is decided. Everyone who carries a gun with less than X number of rounds might as well put that gun to their head and pull the trigger right now, since they're obviously gonna die anyway in a gunfight.

    Colt Trooper, Python Barrel, Wow

I do have to admit, that the pre-Python Colt DA revolvers do seriously lack in style forward of the receiver. The barrels look like a piece of freakin' water pipe.

    Colt Trooper, Python Barrel, Wow

"Some may say that the divide between barrel and frame is ugly" I'd be one of those. It's really, really bad. If it had a King-esque full length rib arrangement that ran all the way back to the rear sight, somehow bridging that enormous gap, you might have something.

For those who carry a revolver ???

It's an old Bucheimer Perfect Fit that has been modified and slimmed down. I intend to make a nicer holster and also speedloader carriers, but this'll do for now. I do NOT like thumb breaks or "FBI cants". ;)

For those who carry a revolver ???

The Buffalo Bore 158 grain SWCHP +P is what I carry in the gun. The red coated hard cast wadcutters (which, as I recall, are rated at about 1000fps from a 4" gun) are Underwood. I have like one little box of red coated FBI load from Underwood too, but haven't fired any of them yet.

For those who carry a revolver ???

That's what's in the gun. ;) Buffalo bore. But I don't feel bad with Remington either (fortunately, I bought quite a few boxes of it a couple of years ago at a shockingly good price, so I have some.... it may be a long time, if ever, that it becomes available again!). They don't do reloads so...

    For the New Revolver Shooter

I do not like sticky rubber grips AT ALL (Pachmayrs aren't bad, because they're not tacky.) Hogue nylon (NOT rubber) are excellent. Not sticky at all. The "bumps" help you grip, but they're not sharp or anything. I like the smooth wood Hogue grips. I do NOT like checkering on a revolver (a...

    For the New Revolver Shooter

This is the "Jelly Bryce" stance. He was an Oklahoma City police officer, and became the deadliest FBI agent ever. This was his natural shooting style, and he taught it to the FBI. "The FBI crouch". Personally, I never liked it, and it simply ain't right for me at all. Of course, I'm one of...

For those who carry a revolver ???

That .38 M&P was bought at a pawn shop 20+ years ago for $150.

For those who carry a revolver ???

No. The lead is SOFT, and the "hollowpoint" is pretty thin at the edge, so it should easily squish itself into the forcing cone.... more easily than the solid head if the bullet were turned the right way, I imagine. I've not ever done this, myself. The idea of it never really tripped my trigger.

For those who carry a revolver ???

My current setup. I am not overly concerned with concealment. It's fast, accurate, and reliable. The red wadcutters look like lipstick! I would not want to get a kiss like that, though.

For those who carry a revolver ???

The backwards hollow base wadcutters have been used for many years, and they do some frightening expansion when fired into water or maybe gelatin, BUT, people report penetration to be seriously lacking. They just expand too much, too quickly, and peter out. I like the idea of the regular...

Using +P ammo in a Cimarron 38 special

I have been considering an open top .38 for a long time..... I figure that a hard wadcutter or semiwadcutter going 800-900 fps will do all I would want anyway, and that's not super fast or powerful. I would think that the wedge arrangement, and the lack of a top strap might cause some odd wear...

For those who carry a revolver ???

I have some fast wadcutters from Underwood that have a red coating on the bullets. So when you look into the front of the cylinder, you see these big red flat nose bullets shining at you. These are my speedloader reloads, because they are hard cast, and slick and smooth on the nose. My...

    Rossi best revolver? The 720

I've never had one, but years ago, I thought the Rossi was a MUCH nicer gun than Taurus. Then Taurus figured, if you can't beat 'em, buy 'em. I don't know what Rossi quality was like after the acquisition.

I wouldn't TAKE it if you gave me a grand.
