Try the ARMS mount, it's low profile, and rock solid. With a scope, if you buy one with a smaller objective size, then you don't have to worry so much about a cheek riser. I personally went with a Leupold Mk4 2.5x8x40. It really is the perfect optic for the M1A...

After putting over 200 rounds down range in a very broad range of projectile sizes and shapes, I can honestly say my Sig P238 as a carry gun, and my Kimber Warrior as my house gun get my approval.

I am not going to argue you with you Bob (being its like winning the special olympics), but while your info is correct, saying that the M&P isnt a good choice because their are more winners using the CZ is just plain snobbish. I know several M's and GM's shooting M&Ps and they have done just...
I also have seen the internet forums with people and their tales of woe about dry firing, striker breakage and extractor problems. Just remember, for every one person saying that, there are probably 30 others that havent had one issue with theirs. I have two, and have fired one of them over...
Well atomd, I own 2 S&W M&P 9Pros and really, really like them. Honestly, I didnt even try the CZ for a couple of the reasons you mentioned. Although CZ USA is based less than 20 miles from me...lol. I dont like the whole decocking thing. And after shooting a friends for a bit, didnt like...
bds, I dont mean to disprove your comments about Montana Gold bullets, but I have not found them to be as accurate as other brands in comparable weights/size. I tried extensively to get them as accurate as I could, it just didnt happen. Part of that is probably my production gun, the M&P 9Pro...
I have used all 3. I like all three for different calibers. I use FMJ for 9mm, plated for .40, and lead for .45. I, like most reloaders have pet loads for each of these. I still play around with different powders and projectiles, always looking for something better...lol. Half the fun of...
Like most new designs, they had a few problems in the beginning. I have 4 M&P's, 2 9mm Pros, a 9c, and a 40c. They all function flawlessly. I have since sold, or traded all my Glocks and XD's.

I have either traded or sold all my Glocks and Springfield XD's, and now own 4 S&W M&P's. They are simply so much better than the others to me. I also own a couple Ruger Speed Sixes that will never leave the family and a very good shooting, not so pretty S&W model 65 (not sure which...
I just picked up 3000 Zero 124gr FMJ 9mm for 236 shipped. Thats about $79 per 1k. Berrys is $82.56 per 1k. For the difference, I'll take the FMJ's. I have an order in at Precision Delta for their new 124gr JHP and those are at $78 per 1k as well.

I like Berry's bullets as well, but lately I have been finding FMJ or HP bullets quite a bit cheaper than Berry's. But yes, every time I order from them, its pretty good turn around time.

Right now, the primers you should use are the ones you can actually find in stock either locally or online. I dont think a whole lot of people that need primers right now can be primer snobs...lol. That being said, everyone has their favorite brand of primer. Try a few different brands...
I just ordered a Pro Chrono from Midway a couple hours ago. Got tired of having to either wait for someone to have one at the range, or borrowing one.

I guess I am just one of those lucky guys. I have never gotten anything other than a proceed when purchasing a firearm. One of the guys who works at my LGS gets delayed about 1 out of every 2 purchases. I dont the reasoning behind any of it, i dont think anyone really does...lol.
